  • Your turtles are beautiful!!!!

  • @AileenBardunea Thanks, they have such personality too.

  • And how much do you feed them?

  • Really Really nice turtles, alsoo a nice setup.

I am wondering what you feed your turtles more as well? :)

  • @runescape123123581 Hey thanks for the comment. I feed them floating aquatic food sticks, hibiscus flowers (which they love), romaine lettuce, carrots(sparingly).

  • they r hungry we buggers aint they

  • wuy wude you trade your pet for a parakeet????

  • I love your setup

  • @567striker thanks - but all the credit goes to the best hubby in the world. He's the one that makes all the stuff for the fish, birds, and critters - I'm just the caretaker.

  • STOP banging on the tank they hear vibrations

  • lol my turtles dont eat it well sometimes they do but they take one bite and then stop lol :p

  • do you bring them in in the winter?

  • @thejanitorssuccess That's where they stay - they outgrew the 55 gallon tank in the house. They have a landing where they can sun themselves and get out of the water. I've put them in the grass before and they just head back to the pond. They love it.

  • Wtf? Thats a res turtle right? I have one and he isnt eating lettuce. Can you give me advise or are they just now to young to eat lettuce? They about between 0.5-1 years so...

    Anyway thanx

  • @azzofkowner I just know that when they are young like yours, they eat 'feeder fish' and turtle food. As they grow bigger, they become vegetarians.

  • @azzofkowner red eared sliders eat lettuce.. maybe when its a year old!

  • can your turtle go out of the pond?

  • @beakarmela Have never seen them actually trying to get out of the pond. But I did a video on placing Eenie inthe middle of the yard to see where he would venture. He heard the water, and right back into the pond. Why would they want to leave - they have it made - food, shelter, love......

  • @dalsch wow thats amazing.. i asked you because my red eared slider loves going out and won't comeback! hahaha even i feed her lettuce and other food but thats nice that your turtle does not want to go out..... you really show good care about them!

  • @dalsch im just curious!! knowing turtles they very curious!

  • what kind of fish do you have in the pond ? koi ?

  • @smallanimalschann Actually they were those very cheap 'feeder goldfish' that pet stores sell - 12 for 1.99. they were small when I got them because when the turtles were smaller they used to eat them. After I put the turtles out into the pond, they must have gotten bigger and just did not bother the fish anymore. All they wanted was the veggies and turtle food. The fish grew huge and beautiful.

  • what kind of fish do you have in the pond ? koi ?

  • I have an outdoor pond, but its not in the ground yet. we are still deciding where to put it in my backyard. Where would you suggest to put the pond? In the sunlight or shade?

  • @RoxiDog62 Well, I would make sure they have some sun - maybe morning sun, but then shade for the afternoon. Remember, the more sun, the more algae will grow. Post some vids when you get it done.

  • @dalsch Thanks for the suggestion! I will post some vids for you!

  • It's YouTube, you don't need to know how to spell

  • The koi looks rally scared :O

  • @TheGwammy1 Learn how to spell.

  • do you have to clean the lettuce before you give it to them?

  • how much gallons is that pond?

  • where did you buy your turtles at?

  • @dml240 I've seen them at PetCo, but I didn't buy any of mine. They were given to me by my son in law. He had them, got tired of them and switched to fish, then snakes........

  • @dml240 Didn't buy them. They all came from my son in law who got tired of them. BUT, he bought them at a reptile store/pet store.

  • Beatiful setup im starting out small i wanna have a nice cool pond for my turtles toO!

Oh, and do they eat those fish?

  • @nerice6 Hey, how have you been? The turtles used to eat the 'feeder goldfish' when they were younger. They could care less about them now. Now that the turtles have grown, they just like the pellets and the veggies.

  • @dalsch Hey! I've been doin' good. So have my turtles. =) Thanks. It looks like you're doing well yourself.

  • @JayNuyens okay thx. is it possible that they ever live to four years? or is that like asking if a person can live up to 150 yrs?

  • @smile20910 it could be possible if you really really have full care for the animal and get regular check ups for it, for like wet tail, or like cancer
