fans of ANY consumer product need to get a life. I have a PS3 an Xbox 360 I got on sale on boxing day, To me PC gaming is still the best way to go for the best graphics and all the mods available for games.

@BobertEntertainment I also bought my Playstation 4 years ago and it hasn't broken down. Xbox might break down every four months, but ps3's don't. Second, please post your pc specs, bcuz I find it hard to believe that ur 800 dollar pc that is 4 years old will best my 400 dollar ps3 that is also 4 years old. I get all my games for 40 bucks and under, too. Another thing about pc is that it just doesn't have enough popular games. They miss out on both xbox AND ps3 exclusives.
I've experienced the best of both worlds lol, pc has better graphics and better online, we may not get as much exclusives but we get a better experience
Online experience differs from game to game on computer and consoles. Some games can be great online on computer while some are just better on consoles.
Experience of consoles and computers are opinions because some people might find it better just to pop in a disc and play right away while some find it more enjoyable to take notice on graphics and likes Keyboard/mouse rather than joystick.

C. there are alot of fps because its argubly the most popular type of gaming, but there are as more non fps than most other consules including the wii, i know i have a lot of them
@cant1rac 360 had a year and a half headstart to the PS3. Still PS3 sales is increasing for every month. PS3 a is topping the charts in Europe, Japan. 360 only got 1,4 million more console sales. Alot of people agree that the PS3 will pass the 360 in total consoles sold by 2012. To judge by all the exclusives to release soon, the choice of which console to buy is easy. 2 exclusives for the 360 is releasing this year, thats it. PS3 got the amazing amount of 20 exclusive titles this year...

@cant1rac I respect your opinion, but to neglect a system just because you have to install is stupid. The only advantage in the graphics department that the 360 has over PS3 is alpha effects. Anti-aliasing, textures, shadows, bigger maps (thanks to blu-ray), etc, is better on the PS3. Look at games like Rage, L.A Noire, Mass Effect 3. All of them uses atleast 3 discs on the 360! And to say that available PS3 titles has narrowed is stupid. Just look at all the exclusives in 2011.

@cant1rac PS3 and 360 both got their pros and cons. PS3 cant handle the enormous use of alpha effects used in games like Halo Reach and Gears of war 3. Like fire, explosions and stuff like that. Thats why Killzone 3 uses low res explosions that is barely noticable, while saving resources for other stuff. The six Cell proccessors that PS3 has, is more powerful than the three cores that 360 has. Developers can offload work from GPU to SPU for better performance. Battlefield 3, Killzone 3, UC3, etc
i own all three current consules and i will definetly be buying a wii 2
+ points for the ps3, blueray, free internet access & a solid gaming platform
+ points for the xbox good online market, largest overall collection of games
- points for ps3 ram limited 256(374) mb (aprox 50% faster per mb compared to xbox) creating a bottleneck in what should be a superiour system, updates denying features
- points for xbox hardware unreliablity and online charging

The PS3 has a weaker GPU compared to the 360, but the six SPU's (cores) that the PS3 have, can be used to offload work from the GPU to the SPU's. Thats why exclusives like Killzone 3, Uncharted 3 looks better than 360 exclusives. The PS3 is a superior system compared to the 360. PS3 got 5.1, 7.1 surround support. I dont even think 360 supports 5.1. I did not blame you for dissing PS3, just correcting you.

Xbox 360 has Crysis 2 though, and it looks about as nice as the amazing ps3 exclusives (only bcuz Crystek had optimization tricks to make it run on the weaker xbox), but since Crysis 2 is also for ps3, ps3 ppl aren't missing out on anything, but Xbox owners are missing out on Killzone 3, Uncharted 2, God of WAr 3, etc, which have far better graphics than Xbox exclusives. Don't forget blu-ray and free online. Ps3 imo is superior.
@Yahooblue42 Remember that Crysis 2 is Crytek's first multi-platform game. I think they can do better than that, as Crysis 2 had some pretty bad performance on both PS3 and 360. IMO, the best looking console game atm is Killzone 3.

@BobertEntertainment I also bought my Playstation 4 years ago and it hasn't broken down. Xbox might break down every four months, but ps3's don't. Second, please post your pc specs, bcuz I find it hard to believe that ur 800 dollar pc that is 4 years old will best my 400 dollar ps3 that is also 4 years old. I get all my games for 40 bucks and under, too. Another thing about pc is that it just doesn't have enough popular games. They miss out on both xbox AND ps3 exclusives.

Online experience differs from game to game on computer and consoles. Some games can be great online on computer while some are just better on consoles.
Experience of consoles and computers are opinions because some people might find it better just to pop in a disc and play right away while some find it more enjoyable to take notice on graphics and likes Keyboard/mouse rather than joystick.
I myself like both systems. I mostly play on my computer though

A. the xbox360 was out way before the ps3 securing the performance crown and few years worth off releases
B. for most of the ps3's life it has been 3rd place in sales, a position that showed initially slow release shedules for the ps3
C. there are alot of fps because its argubly the most popular type of gaming, but there are as more non fps than most other consules including the wii, i know i have a lot of them

@cant1rac 360 had a year and a half headstart to the PS3. Still PS3 sales is increasing for every month. PS3 a is topping the charts in Europe, Japan. 360 only got 1,4 million more console sales. Alot of people agree that the PS3 will pass the 360 in total consoles sold by 2012. To judge by all the exclusives to release soon, the choice of which console to buy is easy. 2 exclusives for the 360 is releasing this year, thats it. PS3 got the amazing amount of 20 exclusive titles this year...

i do get pissed off that i have to install gran turismo, because there isnt sufficent system ram to stream from disk
but i get pissed of by the xbox having to pay to play an online shooter.
what ive tryed to do is be impartial and say neither consule is perfect, both have + and - points
im slightly pissed of as a ps3 owner that it dosent have a real life performance over the xbox because of limited ram

Also, you said that the X360 had better games and bigger range. That claim is totally false. Even though 360 had a year and a half headstart compared to the PS3. The PS3 still has more games with more variety and innovation. Little big planet, Modnation racers, Infamous 2 (Mission creator), etc.

you can not say the ps3 has bigger range but thoughs ps3 only games are great, and the gap of avilable titles has narrowed.

@cant1rac I respect your opinion, but to neglect a system just because you have to install is stupid. The only advantage in the graphics department that the 360 has over PS3 is alpha effects. Anti-aliasing, textures, shadows, bigger maps (thanks to blu-ray), etc, is better on the PS3. Look at games like Rage, L.A Noire, Mass Effect 3. All of them uses atleast 3 discs on the 360! And to say that available PS3 titles has narrowed is stupid. Just look at all the exclusives in 2011.

i know there is a larger overall collection of avilable software, you may be right in sony vs microsoft only developments (but i think it really is pretty close)
that is not to say there are not disadvantage's with the xbox.
realiblity of the hardware is subpar.
and the horendous charging for online gaming.
but there is enough + and - points with both consules, neither is better than the other

@cant1rac PS3 and 360 both got their pros and cons. PS3 cant handle the enormous use of alpha effects used in games like Halo Reach and Gears of war 3. Like fire, explosions and stuff like that. Thats why Killzone 3 uses low res explosions that is barely noticable, while saving resources for other stuff. The six Cell proccessors that PS3 has, is more powerful than the three cores that 360 has. Developers can offload work from GPU to SPU for better performance. Battlefield 3, Killzone 3, UC3, etc

+ points for the xbox good online market, largest overall collection of games
- points for ps3 ram limited 256(374) mb (aprox 50% faster per mb compared to xbox) creating a bottleneck in what should be a superiour system, updates denying features
- points for xbox hardware unreliablity and online charging

The PS3 has a weaker GPU compared to the 360, but the six SPU's (cores) that the PS3 have, can be used to offload work from the GPU to the SPU's. Thats why exclusives like Killzone 3, Uncharted 3 looks better than 360 exclusives. The PS3 is a superior system compared to the 360. PS3 got 5.1, 7.1 surround support. I dont even think 360 supports 5.1. I did not blame you for dissing PS3, just correcting you.

Xbox 360 has Crysis 2 though, and it looks about as nice as the amazing ps3 exclusives (only bcuz Crystek had optimization tricks to make it run on the weaker xbox), but since Crysis 2 is also for ps3, ps3 ppl aren't missing out on anything, but Xbox owners are missing out on Killzone 3, Uncharted 2, God of WAr 3, etc, which have far better graphics than Xbox exclusives. Don't forget blu-ray and free online. Ps3 imo is superior.

that even though the games are better, any purchase is a lost invesment.
no trade ins, no ablity to off set the ridiculous mass profitering cost off software in general.
