Thanks for the vid on how to use your preps. Not many vids on how to use your preps, lots on how to store your preps (I like your storage videos, very straight forward) Any chance you will add more storage cooking? hope so. Cheers!
Be sure to learn about nixtamalization of corn to get maximum benefit by making the niacin content available to the human body. This is VERY important to survival.
Sorry, english is not my native language so I dont understand what is the spices that you add. It will be very appreciate if you can just write what is it. Sorry again if I'm not writting correctly.
@Draka3l He said corn meal(ground corn) sweet cinnamon, regular cinnamon, eggs(looked like about 2 jumbo eggs, beaten), after he fried it he sprinkled it with regular sugar.
On a scale of: I'm camping/very hungry to I'd eat these things often... I've found these kind of recipes start out on the low end and then turn pretty good once I add my personal tastes to it. I used to think that all food beyond meat was complex but simple things like this were a good way for me to pick up basics that I can always go back to if I run out of the add-on stuff. I'm looking forward to converting this one into hushpuppies like long john silvers has. I love those!
I am so glad you mentioned the cinnamon. Every time I see someones survival style food storage I can't imagine how depressed they are gonna be after a few weeks of plain beans and soaked rice. having a good supply of basic seasonings is very important.
Iodized salt is also important. That is the only source, other than tablets, for this. Dont forget garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Grow your own herbs and dry them. And it would be good for bartering.
It is really important to have "morale" Food items stored up. Stuff like jam, mayo, mustard, ketchup,SALT(especially salt) Home made syrups etc. These things are really important to have on hand. These are "luxury" items and will help to keep a persons morale up. Spices and herbs are right up there on the morale list for me. A person would be amazed at how good a pot of beans and rice can taste with herbs and spices. You bring up a really good point, so I thought I would comment on that.
Yip that's why we are as successful as we are as a channel compared to you! Oh sorry that was rude, now dont go cry and get all EMO on us. I dont want to see a crying Brittany movie response or vlog of you crying while listening to jewel or bjork. I mean your all hardcore and all from your description..you wear all black dont you and wear eyeliner to huh? maybe some dr.martens with red laces and such... you son are the joke, have a nice life. ;)
I have had the powdered eggs quite a few different ways, and they are pretty good. If you do them scrambled with some diced ham or some veggies you would not even know the difference. Those are the kind of things you would miss if you had to go without.
i see these mills for sale. Ive never really done anything from stratch. If I bake anything ill usually buy the corn meal etc. Its cool to learn how to do my own thanks for all the cool vids.
yes kaiser you could use powdered milk/eggs instead. When i 1st tried this recipe it was done with those ingredients and they came out just as well imho.
Do you have any vids on how to cook with scrambled egg mix (powdered/dehydrated)? Also, I'd like to see some vids on how to bake bread with stored wheat and a wood burning stove. Could you possibly do something like that for the viewers here?
I am new at this. i saw some "cracked corn" at a farm supply store that was cheap. It was packaged as chicken feed. can I use this in place of whole corn to grind?

can you please explain how corn frittes are related to, elections, bush, war, sks, mauser, glock, tactical, 911, and all the the other stupid tags you have? god damn talk about being desperate for attention/views.....now get all huffy and puffy and try to sound brilliant in your response to this comment and mark it negative!
No need on my end to get mad. I'll just block you. When you decide you have the intelligence to start making your own movies, let us at PAW know we may subscribe to them or add them to our favorites!
I'm sure glad Youtube is an anonymous venue, can't help but think that all these little posers that talk smack here would be afraid to in person. It's a sure sign that the country is going down hill when few want to DO anything but plenty want to CRITICIZE those that do accomplish things. He didn't need to mark it negative, others that read your dribble will take care of that for him. Is school back in soon? Boy I sure hope so!
Ummm...The Apocalypse.. :) The "End" as we all know it. I know, I know, you probably laugh, but so did people at Noah. :) If you are married, teach your wife how to can,jar and dry grain! She will be invaluable to you :)
Whole corn also seems to be more accessible in different parts of the country than wheat. Great video! Folks try these recipes, learn to use your staples in your storage plan.
take the handle off the grinder and hook your power drill to the shaft , power grinder.

those look pretty good.
maybe if you let your batter soak than it wont matter so much if the corn isn't so finely ground? IDK

ninjacup-
Honeyville sells powdered/dehydrated eggs, milk, and they also have dried fruits. they sell by the can or case.
Bob's Red Mill has some cornmeals and wheats.
MREdepot has some decent stuff to, some with shelf life 15-17 years. they sell by case, half case and some single can items.
