  • in regards to tier, it goes ken, chun, yun, dudley, makoto. You will always see the top players and the top winners using these characters. Have you ever seen a twelve winner?

  • @sesstreets nope...i havent

  • Too Bad ChHun-li's Move at 0:52 after the block isnt in SF4

  • @SevRyan u mean the high kick?

  • @UpskirtPower Yeah! That Move made me Love chun i Even more :)

  • i love it how ken gets knocked out in the 1st round chun li just punched his face when he landed in 0:37

  • the tier list is simply based off of statistics. the only reason that people assume that there are "stronger" characters is that it remains consistent. anyone can be good with anyone, but there are MORE good players out there who use characters like Ken, Chun Li, Makoto, Yun, etc.

its NOT saying that if you are Sean you'll lose. So stop arguing that Ken lost BECAUSE he's a lower tier.

  • ken is a combo "ryu". so this loss was expected unless you know comboes, so yes you have a point.

    i'm a ken player myself. :)

  • Now that's not totally true jay.

You're saying just because of statistics, that is why Sagat is on the top of the tier list?

    Don't think so.

  • sagat isnt in third strike.but ill give you an E++ for effort.

The tier list is based off fight statistics, for example(numbers made up off the top of my head, btw)makoto wins 6 out of ten matches against yang in a specific tournament,so he is +1 overall.once you add up the numbers from ALL the matchups you get a characters grade.

the higher the grade the more "powerful" the character is.but strong players will make sure that their character stays at the top of the list.

    get it?

  • +1 means that he wins ONE more than half the matches, btw, this particular matchup would make Yang -1.

    ((for further clarification))

the tier list is merely a recording of the characters that fought the best in a certain tournament.NOT a measure of who will win every time.

  • I don't get it.

Though you say Sagat is not in third strike, you say tier lists are based off tournament statistics.

I thought you meant stats in every game, not just third strike.

I don't get what you explained about tier lists very much : \

  • Chun-li is easier to play than the majority of characters in sf3, but i agree with you, you're not fighting the character, you're fighting the player!

  • oh god tha dredded tier list if u look at a tier list ur gay it depends on tha user and tha chun li waz better dam i wanna kno who da fuck invendin dis gay tier list imma drive by shoot his ass

  • i woudl have cried in the moment chun-li blocked the last hit of ken's super XD

  • is this the ps2 version?

  • ChunLi is a better character than Ken on the top tier list. This video just proves it.

  • Err..This video proves the person who chose Chun Li is a better SF3 player than the guy who chose Ken? 0_o

  • I explained why ChunLi is better than Ken in a different video imo. The short story: she has a longer grab range, and a lot of very safe fast and longer reached moves than Ken. Hence why she is better

    5/5

  • And ChunLi and Yun are truly the top tiers of SF3. Under them, you find Ken and then Makoto.

  • Its makoto then ken. ken is in the upper tier. Makoto is in the top

  • And anyways yall are both right. Chun-li is higher on a tier list but a player still needs to be skilled enough to use her.

  • im sure the justin wong vs. daigo video proves your point too huh?

  • Yep you are right. If Daigo didn't parry that last super, he would be losing. Actually I read a very funny story about that game a few years ago: Daigo practiced parring ChunLi super before facing Justin because Justin was chip killing a lot. Some people have speculated that Justin could have won if he would have done a fireball before the super.

But if you are as good like Daigo, I would obviously lose regardless what character I play...

  • when did i ever say i was as good as daigo? i simply contradicted your statement by giving an example of when some one playing as ken beat chun li. the point is that you cant claim that one character is better than another based off of one game

  • You misunderstood me. I complimented you by saying you could be better than me.

My point is that a better player will always beat a crappy player regardless of who you use, but if they both have the same skill, ChunLi will win over Ken most of the time. And yes, I can claim ChunLi is better than Ken. It is not even my claim. It is the claim of a lot of pro players too. I didn't make that, but I usually exp defeat again ChunLi with Ken. I am talking in general not this game.

  • awesome my two favs

  • rofl nice counter special with chun li :D

  • Holy crap, I couldn't tell who won at the end of the third match. I thought it was going to be a double-knockout.

  • Beautifully fought match by both fighters. The end of the first fight was particularly fantastic with the perfectly done parry.

    Kei

  • nice matches

  • I love chun-li she's awesome XD

  • nice =)
