try ms JO ANN PERFECIO, shes the best female trumpeter in the philippines...one of the best in note reading...shes the no 1 trumpeter of the UNIVERSITY OF MINDANAO, but shes better in using the soprano, trumpet's equivalent in the drum corps...try to see her...u will be amazed...

It doesn't matter because they can't change your quality of music anyways. Orchestra and drum corps are 2 different group of musicians and it doesn't make any difference. It would only fit if they can play real good quality music in your corps. Your commnet clearly shows that you're so ignorant about music and it's quality. That orchestra is not even impressive & only comparable to Arcadia high orchestra 1 & by far inferior to our 2 & 3 who play like pros that you can't even imagine.

Attention to all DBC affiscionados: Bobot Reyes has just resigned from SHIP-3 last Dec. 6, 2008. This is to give way to those POWER HUNGRY & NUISANCE OFFICIALS of SHIP-3. This officials are only using SHIP-3 for their BAD INTENTIONS & HIDDEN AGENDAS. Ship-3 now is not the SHIP-3 that I used to LIVE & FIGHT for. Sad news..... The organizer of the summer competition will not allow the new 27th lancers to participate. Ten participating corps will boycott the event. They are using the 17 year old "hall of fame" award to restrict our new corps to compete. None of these current marching members are even a part of that "hall of fame". I would say their parents & relatives like myself were among those who received this prestigeous award.

they also have a lecture class about reading notes specially in the drum notes...

they are only the drum corps here in the philippines who can read DCI modern drum notes...

Rehearsals are from Monday thru Friday,6:00 to 9:30 pm in front of the new Makati Municipal Bldg. We have 14 new members ranging from 10 to 14 years old and we are currently recruiting 20 more. Training videos will be available once you pass corps audition and we have 3 valve instruments for new members.

An appeal to all. Kindly avoid making provocations or insulting remarks to each and every Philippine drum corps to avoid conflicts and misunderstanding. Although I respect all of your opinions, respect should also be given to the ability of each corps and corps members on whatever their capacity is as a drum corps, strong or weak. Oopps! it seems that the solo at 1:27-1:36 is not clear enough as compared to my original recordings as way back in the 90's (i cannot remember the exact year) in w/c the 27th Lancers & LC had a one on one duel infront of the San Roque church in Marikina. however I notice that some of the members of this corps are very young?

I saw a boy as young as 12, I think. I agree, some glitches and their members are relatively young. Maybe, another factor that "tested" them that day is that most of their soloist and members were in sick bay due to some illnesses, including my nephew being one of their front guy :) Nonetheless, it was quite a show for all the drum corps that participated.
