Keep coming back to this performance as I think most people who've seen it do. It's just phenomenal. It's the nearest I 've seen to what it was like seeing him all those times, all those years ago.That band had worked hard over a period of time to get to this standard. Rory's playing is wonderful throughout and gets even tastier at around the 7 minute mark.... but ultimately this is also a band performing at the top of their game.

I saw Rory and the same three, Jan 28,1976 and they were just as tight then. Front row, center, hands on stage. I could reach out and touch his mike stand. He opened for Kansas...can you imagine trying to follow an act like Rory and the boys put on? Rory blew the house down and Kansas never played. "Equipment malfunction."

WOAH i thought i had seen it all, then along comes this version although the quality isn't great & Rorys vocals are a bit harsh on it jesus his guitar playing is spot on.

its nice to see his actual movements & playing (the irish tour for some fucked up reason zooms right onto his face for like 3 mins of the solo)

seriously though what a bent way to die :( almost ready to check out & to pick up a virus, JUST 6 odd more years & i would have been a decent age (10-14 years old) to have seen him

I agree. A man after me own heart. Always thought the Irish Tour version was one of if not the best Live recording ever then saw and heard this, wow! Then of course Rory was turning in best performances every time he played.
