I have the exact same laptop as that (but the A150 version) mine has a 160GB hard drive and it had Windows XP preinstalled on it, I use Linux Mint 9 now though, Windows XP machine did not come with a recovery disc (I wish it did though)

Software is distributed very differently in Linux. It's not that the software isn't available, you just don't know how to get it. Go look stuff up, read and ask questions rather than being critical and jumping to conclusions.

I bought an AAO 150 around the same time with 120Gb HDD. Came with the same Linpus Linux Lite. Found the bundled Linux to be rather broken and buggy. Installed Windows XP on it for a while, this was OK but not great.

Now it's running Ubuntu Jaunty Netbook Remix Linux, everything is working, performance is much better than XP.

I'd say Linux especially Ubuntu Netbook Remix.. Although it works just fine with XP, performance with Linux though is so much better. Firefox and Open Office are so much more responsive when running with Linux on the Acer One. Battery life is better with Linux I've found as well.

Obviously if you need to run a specific Windows program, then you'd be better off getting an XP one.

i got 1 with xp on it, and in two months the only additional program i installed was iTunes to sync my ipod, and it just started being slower than my dads old pc from the late nineties, so i got ubuntu (standard, not unr)

The reason I went with UNR is because the desktop appeared to be more optimised for the smaller screen, rather than using standard GNOME.

there is a big difference from 8gb to 120gb and not much price difference. i just ordered the 120gb because the SSD wont save that much battery life. they both last around 3 hours with the standard battery (3-cell).

Dude, in a few of your videos you have a Windows XP ISO which you then install into a virtual machine or something like that, did you use the same Microsoft Windows CD to get the ISO each time, if so than does Microsoft allow you to install their OS on more than one computer? Also, in one of your videos you mentioned a slimmed down version of XP, did you but that too, if so are they located in your average computer store or do you have to order it from Microsoft.
