@earlmccormick88 I enjoyed the music in this game alot its phenomonal. I have never played a FF game 100% until this one because i could appreciate the game element in this one. The others were a bit too pop/emo superhero to me. FFXIII has a altereality like DBZ or something that makes it believable, the music chimes in the charm 120% complimenting the game thurougly. Well done SE you bought a new customer dont fuck it up.

The music in this game is beautiful...however FFX is a much better game and I'm selling my PS3 just to get one that's backwards compatible. This game has about 6 songs that seems to wrap me into another dimension when I listen to them with my headphones on. This is the most common one and I listen to this song til I fall asleep...

@Nexttimeillwin i beat the breaks off this game. all hunts cleared. linear. lvl progression of characters was linear. getting ultimate weapons was linear. you cant even sit in a spot and lvl grind because your crystal thingy doesnt expand until after certain bosses are dead. linear linear linear. i will say it trimmed a lot of the fat. game overs were seamless, paradigms were very strait forward. i wont say i hated this game. but i will say for what i feel FF should be it was lacking.

@Nexttimeillwin disagree. you can actually get lost in a lot of those earlier FF games. darn near impossible to get lost in ff13 as its a gigantic corridor. in FF 10 you can completely customize a character's stats. Cant do that at all in 13. In 10 you can hunt for everyone's ultimate weapon at the same time. 13 you're restricted to farming extremely expensive items for an ultimate, and therefore person by person... linear. again what kind of fantasy restricts you so much.

Seriously tho...It like every fan boy/girl has been complaining about all the other FF gamens after 7. granted it was a good game but seriously give it a rest ppl. FF13 is a really good game. I just finished the story at 48 hours and i also did around 15 hunts . Yeah i've been going hardcore with it this week. I also had my fair share of losses . The most i ever lost at one time was 6 and that was an eidolon battle. Don't fret though 48 hours is still pretty long for a final fantasy story.

I wouldn't say it's better or worse than 12 simply because they're both very different kinds of RPGs. Comparing the two is really a case of apples and oranged.

It's hard to compare it to any game in the series, really, since it's so different. But as I say: despite its shortcomings (what it *doesn't* have), the game (judged by what it *does* have) is a very fun game to play, and the story, while nowhere close to the glory of FF6 and similar, is enjoyable, if a bit melodramatic.
