One of the hallmarks of the Dead was the noodling- fans love it, critics call it "musical masturbation." Arbitrary rearrangement was not something Jerry would have had a problem with! A little bit of noodling is true to the spirit of the Dead, not something to complain about.

I play this song on the piano, and the first time I played it for my best friend who likes to play duets with me, she tried to play with me, except she was playing the gospel song, lol. I'm not saying that improv isn't a good and cool thing. But it's the kind of art form that some people never quite get a grasp of. Good improv should tie in to the original piece of music, excepting fusion, where the musicians try to each play a different tune, entirely...

I'd like to see this re-done and some restraint applied.
