@Effectology Am I understanding correctly, the dummy plug produces the same effect as if you connect the "empty" wire to the pedal input and circuit it's empty end with your finger instead of connecting the instrument to it?
The thing I'm always the most curious about is how you do the drone-type things that always start these videos. You should do an Effectology of the sounds of Effectology.
How in Hades do you figure out that certain pedals together bring these amazing sounds out of them? Every one of these videos are amazing and Hendrix would have been more than happy to hire you as some of these sounds were probably in his head too.
@Effectology Actually ANY Pink Floyd would be nice, I play in a 4-piece cover band without Keyboard, since we play lots of Genesis, PinkFloys and Yes, any help in getting synth sounds from a guitar (without MIDI) is great. I am particularly looking in the SOLO Keayboard sound. For example, we play Genesis' In The Cage and I do the Keyb solo on my guitar...I try to aproach the sound with reverbs, chorus and octavers but haven't quite got it....
Brilliant!

greendayforever2k9 4 months ago
Why are you using that dummy plug?
yito2204 6 months ago
@yito2204
To turn the unit on with out having any thing connected to the input plug.
The end result is white noise.

@Decubuntu
Yes but a cable will introduce other sounds.
Just the plug produces less microphonic sounds.

Where can I buy a "dummy plug"?
ureadmymind 1 year ago
@ureadmymind
Radio Shack 1/4 in plug.
its just a plug with nothing connected to it.
Effectology 1 year ago
@ureadmymind Or if you have a bad guitar chord just cut the plug off of one end and use that.

That info is on the EHX forum where you will find a direct link.
The forum address is in the video description.
Effectology 1 year ago
is there a site or ask for a copy of the music in this vid?
nathanalaneller 1 year ago
@nathanalaneller
Do a Google search for Doctor Who sheet music.
You should be able to find it very easy.

What did you use to do that one slow pan from left to right? Thanks!
Tubes12AX7k 1 year ago
@Tubes12AX7k
I paned them by hand but you could do it by using the Stereo Pulsar as in stereo it will pan from side to side.

@Effectology: Did you change the original PAF PROs in your Jem? What pickups did you install? Any particular reason for the change?
BTW, love the series, please do more Pink Floyds
777Jonathan777 1 year ago
@777Jonathan777
Thanks
I have two JEMS
One is stock with the PAF Pros and the other has Seymour Duncan Holdsworth pickups.
They sound more like a pedal steel or hot tele pickup to my ear.
What Pink Floyd do you want?
