@Hogweed11 Agreed, look at how good vai was at that age then how much better he got with passion and warfare for example. When he hit 30 his tone was amazing. Just Imagine what Jason would have given us : ( it would be unplayable by modern guitarists

ALS is a disease not a person. Its the same disease that Stephen Hawking got, and he's now completely paralyzed. The only thing he can move is his eyes, its such a shame that he had to go through this disease, but he will always be a legend!

Wow, its almost like you could tell he was getting sick, it wasn't like him to be forgetting songs like this. He messed up A LOT on this Hot Licks video, its you like can see the illness early stages.
kinda like playing whatever comes to mind "in that split nanosecond" kinda ordeal.
after doing that for so many songs i can imagine what its like. ive wrote alot of songs (nothing like this) and its hard to keep track of the solos and chorus' and outros and stuff.
even harder for covers that i dont play all the time. like, ive done it, but if i dont play it constantly you forget snippets here and there and it adds up to alot after a while.
It was his body that has deteriorated, not his mind, ALS doesn't cause memory loss or any other mental degradation, he even says himself there that he doesn't have to do the instrumental stuff live so of course he would forget if he didn't play it often! PS I like that he messes up...shows that he is human after all!
Jason was not the only one on his fight, give to his family some credits, they dedicated their lifes on him. (I thing everybody would make the same)
