I don't think religion should necessarily be erased, it can improve the lives of many good people; I myself am very much a Christian, and I'm bisexual and some of my best friends are gays and wiccans. I think it's more a matter of some people shouldn't be allowed to practice it...especially these people that are clearly insane and are doing nothing but poisoning the name of that religion for the genuinely good people that practice it.

my relative was bewitched and he got a very critical illness even the hospital can't do anything let alone to diagnose and find out what caused the disease. finally one doctor asked my relative to seek alternative help and the cleric said it was the "work" of someone else who was jealous of him. after the spiritual treatment he became better and under controlled. you may think it's unfair to punish those wizards/sorcerers but what about those victims? think about it

@rkyeun Look under psychological treatment and stress. MD's do not do these studies but do oversee some of the medical parts of them but mostly these are psychological studies that measure stress. I was a participant in one of them also at those hospitals. I had to sign papers to participate. They are not going to post on their website all the studies that hospital does....for god's sake they are doing hundreds of studies there. Studies are not published until they are done.

Prayer seems to reduce stress levels although some people who feel their fate is out of their hands do not fare better. It is perception of your world that affects your outcomes and people who perceive prayer or reiki energy as benevolent will have better outcomes. Stress can kill you.

@vg33k Mass General, Brigham and Women's, and UMASS Memorial Hospitals use Reiki practioners who are also RN's. You have to be a RN or LPN to practice Reiki in the hospital. I have been a surgical patient also and received Reiki before surgery.

There are actually medically proven cases of witchcraft having an effect. For instance. Once a man in Haiti had Asthma. He sought treatment for this from a witchdoctor and was cured. He went to the United States for a medical test and was found to be cured. As a side affect he turned white. The U.S. doctors found a medical explanation for the turning white, but obviously not for the cure for Asthma. There are other examples.

Please. Once again, charlatanry. There are PLENTY of people who claim powers. None who can show them under controlled conditions. Yes, Joseph Kony is a dangerous lunatic with a small army. He's not a witch. He uses bullets and machetes.
You can dig up plenty of anecdotal stories claiming paranormal garbage. NONE of it stands up to actual testing. If you have a paranormal ability, contact James Randi and win the prize his foundation offers. Telling secondhand stories isn't enough :p

You are wrong. Nina Kalagina's powers were tested under controlled conditions by soviet scientists. Look her up. Also, Kony uses witchcraft you should look that up.

"Controlled conditions" which were only available under the iron curtain, after it fell she suddenly lost her powers. You should look it up yourself. As for Kony's super american commando killing abilities, source?

Good point, I garbled that. She did, however, "lose" her abilities in the 70's and was unable to perform under controlled conditions.
As for "believing it's possible under normal circumstances to defeat well equipped U.S. trained commandos with bullets", well, bullets tend to kill people. Being trained by the US is no certification of invulnerability, and I find it amusing that you need to add magic to the story to make it believable.

WheN I said "I find it amusing", that was inaccurate. While I'd like to laugh at it, it actually deeply disturbs me. As the video above demonstrates, believing in supposedly "harmless" mythology can lead to women being executed for fake charges. That, to me, is not funny.

It is not just the training, it is the equipment. Missiles, planes and helicopters beat bullets and machetes any day. Even if the operators are untrained. Also, Kony has no military training. Kulagina's abilities were not declining in the 70s. She performed for scientists during dinner after they paid her a surprise visit in 1974. She made the frog's heart stop in 1970. It was in the late seventies that she had a heart attack and got very very sick.

I don't want to be rude, but you need to reread the source you pm'd me. It was a single squad of Guatemalan special forces. They entered Garamba National Park on foot, without air support. No "missiles, planes or helicopters" were involved. 2 years later, Operation "Lightning Thunder" was launched with the support of several nations, but according to *your* source was botched by the premature entry of Ugandan ground forces who may have scared off the LRA.
