Every time I have been driving in Russia I have been thinking how a so beautiful and rich country can have so extremely bad roads. (Most of the time) I remember I felt so lucky when I could drive 60km/h on the magistral hi way. Some times the roads are so bad it scats and scrapes under the car. Heck, even some of the major USA highways are almost as bad. The last time I traveled on interstate I-5 in northern California, heading south from the Oregon border, I had to slow down under 35mph to keep control of my vehicle and small U-Hail trailer, both bouncing heavily from the cracks and potholes caused by weather extremes of freezing cold at night to very hot during the day.
