    lowercasenoisesDOTcom

    Thank You

  • You're so amazing. You better get payed to some soundtracks or something.

  • one word: wow.

  • is that a line 6 dl4 delay you are using? those are so nice i plan on getting one of those too

  • this is pretty sick man i need a looper :/ haha i need a lot of money

  • this so sweet but whynot just use a keyboard and make it easier for yourself?

  • @MwPrice102 i don't really know how to respond to this. i play the guitar, not the keyboard.

  • @tubescreamer haha wht i ment was its easier to get this sound from a keyboard but this is innovative so its cool

  • @MwPrice102 ok. i think i disagree with you though. but it's ok.

  • @MwPrice102 that's like asking a rock band why they don't just use a drum machine instead of have an actual drummer.

  • how do you get the "shore" sound??

  • awesomeness

  • what guitar is that?

  • Your tone is absolutely stellar. Its all really surreal and warm, very impressive.

  • wow amazing very wonderful

  • Hypnotizing.....refreshing.....ethereal.....inspiring.....

  • You'd get laid instantly if you do this for a girl. ;-)

  • How do you make the "pin drop" notes ...@ around 3:00

  • @SCIfiend that's the micro pog

  • this is insane, I wanna use your pedals for worship at my church now

  • Dude every time I listen to your music it inspires me

    to keep playing ambient music.

It makes me want to just sit down and play all day!

keep up the good work man

  • Gorgeous sound.

  • What settings did you use on the RV5? Modulate?

  • @RossNW yep!

  • i like your work dude..

make me hypnotized..i can view a scenery when i close my eyes

    greetings from indonesia..

  • do you have a reverb pedal or do you use the reverb strictly on your amp?

  • @iunnodiapeys pedal

  • @tubescreamer thanks

  • As I sat listening to this, all the muscles in my back, shoulders and arms relaxed. Awesome, is the only word I can use to describe this.

    Thank you.

  • Great sound.

  • dude i just love your music, it's peaceful, inspiring...words cannot describe. I downloaded your tracks from bandcamp - awesome. between you and stars of the lid...ambient guitars rock...thank you!

  • Great cable, brand or homemade (The fluorescence)?

  • @locoboxspaceship rope light from big lots... not a guitar cable

  • at around 2:46 did you use the micro pog for this? fuck I wish I could afford such pedals man!

  • =O this video is amaaazing god job !!!!!!!!!!

  • love the lights!! Are they just christmas lights? I bet it adds a lot of stage presence. Do you gig at all? What kind of venues do you play at?

  • Ok, I love this, I'm not trying to steal your idea, I'd do different stuff, but how'd you learn all these cool random chords you used? Because I LOVE THEM!

  • @Covers4Christ thanks, but there is only one chord in this video... A major i believe...

  • @tubescreamer

Yeah, I figured it wasn't as complicated as it sounds, but the way you fade in/out, and then add melody really makes it sound like you're doing a bunch of bar chords and stuff, thanks man! I'm gonna have to expirement with theis kinda stuff!

  • @tubescreamer really enjoying your videos man. I have noticed people asking about your chords etc but with respect there not anything complicated , same for the lead work , its just the magnificant and magical things you do with them that make them sound special , really loving your work man!! merry xmas and all best for 2011 :) oh and yeah , movie soundtracks etc i reckon would suite your musical style perfectly , go for it man!!

  • you should work for movies!

    awesome ideas!!

  • @ProjectBerklee I would love that...

  • @tubescreamer love it, nice to see some one just playing pretty images rather than full face melting shredatude, i sorta do this type of thing but need a volume pedal to do it properly, much respect

  • yeah!! dud u should work for movies!!! no playing, just picture this....you at the movies, sounds like preview music for like a new romance movie, dont get me wrong i love you music, keep it up :D

  • Very cool. Reminiscent of Drone Zone and Soma radio. I actually have the gear to do this! Thanks

  • Beyond!

  • sounds like buckethead

  • ...

  • nice texture : )

  • nice loops. love this stuff

  • I would totally buy this if it were up on itunes or something! awesome tune bro!

  • @kissedbysummer well i am on itunes... search for "lowercase noises" :)

  • Don't tell me the ocean effect is your own idea!

This is very good man really inspiring. greets from Greece

ps I wanna know some things about the sounds you produce

  • @pacingBlue i did adapt it from something else i saw, so i think it is a least semi-original :)

  • a man after brian eno's heart.

  • @mattmurray8 darn right!

  • very nice bro. for some reason this makes me think of the movie "the goonies". dont know why. great job man. check my stuff out some time.

  • That's just clever!

  • This is just... dear God, you're so freakin' awsome... i can't believe this is done by a man that isn't well known and doesn't perform... You should be well known, and you should perform!

I'm not saying that you should be as famous as Rihanna or something like that but, you're so damn good that you should share it with the world!

    Cheers Fella!

  • @QFizzV8Fizz ha thanks man! i really appreciate it... i might be getting the opportunity to perform live fairly soon...

  • @tubescreamer Haha, np dude, you're just so good i bet half of the ppl watching this won't believe what they're hearing ^^

  • Are you using a firewire interface then if you're recording on sonar? Thanks.

Oh and nice video subscribe people.

  • @ironchefpoundinvag thanks! at this time i was actually only using an M Audio MobilePre USB interface. currently i'm using a Motu Ultralike MK3 which is firewire (although I'm not using Sonar anymore).

  • how did you do the wave noise?

  • mmmm the sea noises are so relaxing and trippy

    subcribe

  • @befrankis thanks man :)

  • Wow! I bet no one else in the world would have thought of all that with the static ocean sounds. This is awesome!

  • How'd you get the static sound at the beginning?

  • How'd you get the static sound at the beginning?

  • @bfv102290 i described it in the video summary...

  • DIG IT. glad to see others doing cool soundscapes. Do you ever perform this material? and if so do you have difficulty getting shows or appropriate venues?

  • @EdwardHancockAndX4 i'm currently not performing live, but i might be getting the opportunity soon.

  • i fell asleep to this video the other night. It was extremely relaxing. Good Work.

  • whoahhhh glow-y cabless :3

  • @atung323 not cables, just rope lights for some nice lighting :)

  • @tubescreamer aww close enough. Rope lighting + anythng = awesome xD

  • dude you are sick. Ive watched a couple of your other videos and you definitely got your stuff together. Kudos dude. Awesome playing too.

  • @tlouis11 thanks man!!

  • Beautiful music...

  • Greetings man... ;) I had a great and trippy bunch of minutes ;)

    5 stars.

Can tell me your complete fx chain? Thanks. ;)

  • Can the dd 3 make a good post rock sound by itself? like the mogwai helicon 1 sound.

  • your tone is amazing man nice ear. love it

  • Did you come up with the ocean thing or did you read about it somewhere? If you came up with that your a genius!

  • beautiful

  • That ocean sound is soo crazy. When I heard if I was expecting you to do the seagull noises from Pink Floyd's Echoes.

None the less, this video made me subscribe. I've been getting into a lot of ambient and post rock style stuff, so this is definitely awesome to hear.

  • yeah, this made me subscribe too. such a breather from all the hacking I have to hear everywhere else.

  • What kind of looper were you using?

  • This made me subscribe.

  • @DRaityul thanks! :)

  • @DRaityul ditto

  • good job man, did you work this up, or just totally on the fly, I do some similar stuff, but totally on thr fly every time. Sometimes its amazing, sometimes I fall flat on my face

  • @sneakonproductionz sort of worked it up... definitely different every time though.

  • very nice, so calming wonderful job

  • Fantastic sounds and great info!

  • this is aweeesome! Which amp would you recommend for these super smooth warm tones your getting here if i can only afford one of them? Also, what pickups are in your tele? thanks much and awesome job.

  • thanks! in this vid i was using a hot rod deville, but now i'm using a fender blues deville. sounds great! my favorite amp i've owned thus far.

  • so the ac15 isnt that crucial to the tone?

  • i dont really play anything bluesy at all...or classic rockish...all kinda modern music... and imin search of an amp that sounds smooth...not shrill...i dont really know how to discribe it...just nice sonic cleans.. .. any recommendations? thanks tons..

  • i just found out if you have a flanger pedal you can get the same ocean sound. you just leave on your distortion and turn everything else off and the waves from the flanger will make the hiss from the distortion pedal sound like the beginning.

  • AND you dont have to adjust it all the time no matter what pedals you turn on or off , you just set it and forget it . it is an amazing must have pedal

  • the ISP pedal sucks . why ? because . if you turn the pedal on lets say with an OD pedal and have it setup at a certian place it works fine , turn on another OD or distortion pedal , and the ISP will sound like crap , you have to adjust your setting on the ISP because you turned on another pedal and so on . anytime you turn off or on pedals you have to adjust it , it totally sucks . the NS-2 is amazing in how it keeps all your dynamics and it does its job at the same time , thr is nthing lik it

  • It's sound like a song from the movie Cast Away, it's wonderfull =D

  • This is soooo great. I watched few of your videos, you're very creative, you know how to make the guitar SOUND. Subscribed. Cheers.

  • thanks a bunch! i really appreciate it!

  • subscribed..awesome dude.you should dp aquatic ambience from the game donkey kong its awesome u'll like it.

  • great video :)

  • thanks!

  • Dreamy and warm.

  • Dude it sounds like the waves coming in on the shore after the statues got moved out of place on the floating island in FF6. Totally SNES waves. Hey, have you tried using the ISP decimator? It has less tone coloration than the NS-2.

  • i've wanted to try it. it would also be nice to use it as a gate rather than in a loop like the ns-2 requires... too many cables

  • Love your videos, and I think this is my favourite.

  • mine too actually :)

  • love the lights.

  • me too

  • absolutely beautiful. Do u know if there is any way to do this on a Vox Tonelab LE?

  • thank you! i have no experience with the tonelab, so i do not know if this would be possible...

  • Slightly more complicated than the way Herman Li makes his "elephant" noise :P

  • All your ambient videos really make me wanna get a volume and a reverb pedal, this is amazing.

  • thanks man, glad you are enjoying them!

  • This somehow reminds me of the ocean city in that video game knights of the old republic hahaha.

  • you are brilliant!!

  • Love it. . Can't wait to get my micro pog

  • Thanks! and yeah, its an awesome pedal!

  • brilliant man, brilliant

  • thank you :)

  • This is Awsome! Is there anyway you could show a demo of how you got that ocean sound? I see theres an explanation right above there but im still a little fuzzy on what it is your doing exactly...

  • i'll write a little thing about it in the description right after i'm done writing this comment... glad you enjoyed it!

  • oh my goodness andy... its beautiful

  • this is seriously inspiring

  • You are a genius! I'll see you tomorrow at 3:30. We have a sweet road trip ahead of us and i will have the new Isis :)

  • Dude! I love this so much!! is the ocean sound just some of your gain pedals with the noise gate off??? and nice touch with fading the loop while continuing the ocean sounds :) i really like it!

  • yup, that exactly what it is! and just a touch of delay. i'm glad you like it! :)
