  • époustouflant!

  • This should be a featured video.

  • 3:25 it's like the camera man passed out for a bit. lol I would too if I were there and that was live.

  • Here is another version of the same song, also with Vinny Raniolo.

Some great twists there - for example on 2:57...

    watch?v=D3GUa1zRe74

  • The playing is so great at 3.28 that camera couldnt handle it

  • so awesome the camera blacks out at one point, cant take the talent coming through

  • i like guitar that play by vignola , but the kalamazoo sound its rarely vintage.....

  • this is perfect :D

  • One of my favourite numbers, these two pull out all the stops. Never seen Tommy play this well.

  • I noticed Tommy's jazz chops have improved since he did that project with Frank. There's nothing this guy can;t play.

  • Ren and Stimpy!

  • Django would DEFINITELY approve.

  • tommy rushed but i couldn't touch this greastness, not yet at least.

  • Youtube couldn't handle the shear awesomeness of the lick at 3:23 lol

  • Man is there anything Tommy can't play LOL. Simply stunning as usual. Frank held his ground nicely I might add.

  • I could watch this amazing video every time time for tommy's legendary expression at 4:00!

  • gassss

  • Does anyone know the guitar chords that Frank Vignola is playing along to 'Swing 42'?

  • @TheDarkSide599 If you're interested in learning any of the songs performed by Tommy and Frank on their album, 'Just Between Frets', as promoted here, The album has been transcribed for both parts. The book is available on the CGP website for just $25. You can get to this from the official Tommy Emmanuel site.

I'm pretty keen on getting my hands this book myself =P

  • @mycheesedguitar Thank you for the suggestion but I was really looking something that wont cost me anything :/ I know roughly what chords need to be played, but I need to know the way Frank Vignola is playing it because he uses slightly different chords and different positions and it sounds alot better and easier to play.

  • @TheDarkSide599

the chords are C-A-Dm-G then Em7-Ebm7-Dm-G

    The progression is done also in E(so E C# F#m B)

  • Does anyone know the guitar chords that Frank Vignola is playing along to 'Swing 42' ?

  • I really like this version

  • YEAH!!!

  • :o------

  • brilliant!

  • It's impossible not to smile and move to the music with these three masters a play !

  • They made the Mountain View AR Music Center glow last Saturday night. If they'd been any better...... don't think I could have stood it.

  • I don't think all those notes are on MY guitar!!!

  • I love that Tommy gives such exposure to people like Frank vignola and Jim Nichols who would otherwise remain sidelined to their respective genres and would not come to the deserved attention of a much wider audience.

  • Django forever. The K-zoo is just so right on this music...that vintage '30s sound. Love, Love, Love it!!!!

  • O M F-ing G...

  • I keep coming back to this...

Are these guys having a good time???

    Work? Nah...

    This is playtime !

    Genius

  • @Grockle1345 so true !

  • Spirit of Django...

    Oh lordy, what spirit!

    my cup runneth over

  • not even the camera could stand the pressure at 3:27 !

  • not even the camera could stand the pressure at 3:27 !

  • Oh Jesus holy shit, GOD Almighty, that's great playing. Now THAT is the kind of mastery I dream of having on guitar. Dream.

  • Love the Django's swing from any vintage is great-- "J-Attendrai"
