  • steve's story reminds me of something that would happen to Kermit, haha

  • I fear for Steve Whitmire if I ever end up meeting him. If we were to ever meet, he'll have to deal with a sobbing 21 year old girl repeating the phrase "I appreciate you so much". Poor guy.

  • 1:56-8:00

    I love that story

  • Steve Whitmire is amazing!

    I like him alot!

  • It it just me or does Jerry Nelson look like a muppet himself?

  • @AngelusDlion Maybe it's just you!

  • @AngelusDlion It's just you!

  • What year was this?

  • @Riddler95 December 9th 2001 in Los Angeles

  • What did Steve Whitmire say it was on the sign at 3:09, please answer me so soon as possible!

  • What did Steve Whitmire say it was on the sign at 3:11

  • I really admire this story. Jim went long before his time. But Kermit can live on forever.

  • Fun Fact: Steve Whitmire and Jim Henson share the same birthday: September 24th.

  • @GameWhiz13 That's true!

  • Steve puts a bit of his own voice into Kermit, doesn't he?

  • OMG! Bean Bunny! I love you!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I can clearly hear Kermit's voice in Steve Whitmire!

  • Agreed.

  • Me too!

  • You can hear Rizzo's voice as well.

  • @GameWhiz13 Doesn't anybody?

  • @GameWhiz13 So can I!

  • Jim Henson was a great man, and it was an extremely sad day when we lost him back in 1990. Fortunantly, we were very lucky to have Steve Whitmire around. Nobody will ever replace Jim, but Whitmire has done an amazing job taking over the role of Kermit. I think Jim Henson would be proud.

  • Your right.

Jim Henson had been talking about Steve Whitmire doing Kermit's voice for sometime.

Jim Henson would be extremely busy sometimes, so he wanted Steve Whitmire to do Kermit's voice for times when Henson couldn't.

  • @Riddler95 No Jim Henson Mentened to Frank Oz that jim need some one to do kermit sometimes and he didn't mean Steve that what Steve Whitmire said.

  • @DanimalBr I think so too !

  • @DanimalBr Has it really been 20 years? I still miss him a lot myself. The literal voice of my childhood.

  • @DanimalBr I think so too!

  • Is this like a tribute to Jim?

  • It was celevrating 25yrs of the muppets I think :D

  • steve emodies the dream of a puppeteer..

like Clash, he grew up watching Muppets and then got the chance to meet and work with the man himself

  • Yeah, he is living the dream. Great post dude

  • lol at 1:113

    WHY SO SERIOUS JERRY??

  • Whitmire 's mad cool =)

  • i didn't know a man played ms piggy. that's awesome.

  • Same guy plays Grover, Yoda, Fozzie etc etc

  • that is why it is even funnier. :)

  • lol!! when dave came out somebody just screamed "YEEEEAH! WHOO, WHOO, WHOO!! GONZOO!"

  • I'm so in love with Steve Whitmire and his work. No one in this world has inspired me as much as he has. I want to be just like him. One day I'd LOVE to meet him. But to work with him... That'd be my ultimate dream!

  • I agree! He's my all time favorite performer, and has been for as long as I can rememeber. :-) He's my hero, and I really hope to meet him some day!

  • Much respect to klash, goelz, oz, nelson, etc.. but steve is certainly the guy i'm most impressed with.. he walks in giant shoes and keeps many of our favorite muppets alive.. he lives the dream i think many of us share.

  • @FLPman Giant shose?
