even my dog is wagging her tail to the beat of Johnny's voice. I know she loves him, cuz she listen's all day. Oh Johnny what can I say, your incredible...perfect, ok now let's dance
"Play it once Sam, for old times sake". Who could forget thise line. I think I've seen "Cassablanca" houndred times. Beeing scandinavian I love Ingrid of course, though I was only a little child at the time. As always, when Johnny touch a song, it's his for ever. Once and for all, period. His voice, I'm totally addicted to it.
@beweau I don't think a day has gone by in years where I haven't listened to JM. I know what you mean by addicted. I can listen to others and do but only for a short time and then, go right back to JM.
Enjoyed listening to the music enhanced by the video so perfectly done. Thanks ReadMeReadYou for a job well done. Thanks for posting this version I never knew he (JM) had. Keep them coming!!!
Beautiful of course! Many do not recognize the intro verse to this song when at a Mathis concert and it's so fun when their "light bulbs" comes on with huge resounding applauding!
I have been told that the intro to this type of song is called a "verse". Amazing voice. I remember seeing/ hearing him, and Nat King Cole, and Perry Como, of course, with my Mum when we first acquired a black and white TV. All wonderful!
My favorite singer. I can't believe that I have missed this. My favorite is "The best of everything and Sweet Thursday. I can't find Sweet Thursday. Anyone have input? Would be very much obliged. Appreciate the post
Johnny recorded "Sweet Thursday" on the album "Johnny's Newest Hits." The song is not on CD yet, except in the UK. JM's "Keeper of the Archives" who knows every song and where it's at is going to let me know if she can find the title of the British CD, so that you can purchase it online if you like. Hopefully, she can. Please write me a message request because I have 53 videos up and I may lose your screen name. Hopefully, I'll have an answer for you soon.
I can't remember how many times I have viewed this video of yours. There are so many version covered by well known artist but I think this is the best.

Ah yes - his nickname was "One note Johnny" for his ability to hold a note
to the point you lost your own breath. The guy was my "corta venas" when I was young
It was the song you listened to when your heart was broken.
