Roger Waters, Ennio Morricone, beautiful as always. Can't still forget the last scene of the movie. Was a good thing I stayed to see the credits. This song was the bgm for the credits, and I thought it to be the real finale, with this song hitting climax, of 1900...
As a huge fan of both Floyd and Van Halen, it just doesn't get much better than this!! I love Eddies subtle use of the 'Sustainer' pickup at the end.... Beautiful!!!
This is the last song I want to hear, before I die. I carry my ipod everywhere in case something bad was to happen. I want something this incredible, to be the last thing I hear. That may sound morbid, but it's true. I love this song. No song could ever hit me like this one does.
i cant believe im saying this but i find Rogers solo material far more enjoyable than The Floyd, probably just heard the old stuff one time too often, being no slouch on lead guitar myself my jaw dropped at the guitar work on this beautiful song, the end section is one of the most inspired unique and soulfull licks ive heard in years,i trawled the net looking for the players name and my sense of awe was justified when i learned the guitarists name is Edward Van Halen, wow!! check it out!
One of the best films I have ever seen. Tim Roth is absolutely phenomenal. I have seen the film (better than a movie) more than 20 times and still cry at many points. 98/100.
Roger Waters father was killed during WW2 - his mother was pregnant with him, hence his sense of loss - despair and frustration....his lyrics reflect his life - beautifully !

If anyone else sang lines like this it would come across as fist-bitingly naff, but there's such an emotional honesty, conviction, and tenderness in what he does that it cuts right through you. For better or for worse, Waters totally believes every word he sings. Bravo!
Dude this is Eddie van Halen on guitar! Yes Gilmour is the shit, but aside from Eric Clapton, whom Roger got to be his guitarist in 1984 (Pro's and Con's of Hitchhiking) Eddie is a great choice for a one off! How many people ever would think they would be together on a tune! there are multiple versions of this song, this one does not have the blistering eddie solo the others do. just a little at the end.
I watched this movie because i heard this song, now i watch this movie 24/7 It is such an awesome / sad movie!!! Definitly check out this movie people! The song just tops it off. So awesome!

I feel that I am here to "hold the child in the man, the child that we leave behind" in this world where people tolerate nuclear weapons ... is this film "The Legend of 1900" about Ther Titanic? But that was 1912..?
the greater soundtrack composer ever + the greater pop composer ever + the greater axe man ever = Great music :-) Listen all the soundtrack...Morricone is a class by itself!

Roger Waters a coécrit le texte de la chanson « Lost Boys Calling »
avec le compositeur italien Ennio Morricone,
pour le film La Légende Du Pianiste Sur L'Océan.
En anglais : The Legend Of 1900.

Rainbowrubyshoes 5 years ago
