Good morning, do you like sixties? Listen and pod cast my program " great sound of 60' s " on the site plumfm. Greeting and made blooper in rock and roll. Salut, vous aimez les sixties ? Ecoutez et podcatez mon émission "le super son des sixties" sur plum fm. Salut et faites gaffe au rock'n roll
After the andreniline rush of the Rolling stones and the Yardbirds, The Zombies are the perfect british invasion band to mellow out to. They had a special laid back sound no other group (not even the Beatles) could match.
This was first released in the US on an unusual-for-the-US, 14 song compilation from London Records. It was a charity album for some organization in England. Other artists on the LP were the Stones with "Surprise, Surprise", Them, Lulu, Billy Fury and others. It was also released in Britain, as well - around the same time - early 1965. I bought a copy and liked it - especially "Nothing's Changed".
I lost my one and only cassette tape of them and for days was angry with myself. But now, thanks to you and the others for posting their songs here at YT. When you think its impossible, a nice thing suddenly comes along. Thanks
The beat of the guitar at the beginning of the song is pure influence of Bossa Nova, Brazilian music famous in the 60s.
