DVandM you are correct! I, too, am a music teacher, however, only elementary school not university. This song is traditionally the song that is used at the end of the ceremony when the bride and groom exit. Both this song and "Here Comes the Bride" are overplayed in my opinion. Jonathan, how about the Trumpet Voluntary by Clarke for entry and Handel's Watermusic for exit? They, too, are traditional but so classy.

Ok, I am a music professor at a university, I know of what I speak! That song is traditionally played (the mandoline excerpt) as the bride and groom exit the ceremony as man and wife in the U.S. It is as popular as the "Here Comes the Bride" piece. Many contemporary couples are not using either of those songs because they are outdated. But, in my opinion, it is your wedding, do as you like!

Hi I watched one of your earlier videos about getting the wedding dress to Italy, have you actually talked to your airline about it? My sister in law was refused to take her weddingdress as hand luggage as the size of it was to big. In the end she had to vacuumpack the dress so that it would fit in a carry know bag. 2yrs ago I lived in Wolverhanpton, Uk for few months and during the winter time there was few inches of snow, I was wearing boots, tights and coats all the time, but all the english girls were wearing balerinas or gladiators shoes with no tights...their shoes were soaked, they were freezing but still they were wearing it, even the little girls and the worse - their mothers.
