Claude Nougaro, un maitre de la poésie chantée.
A true Master of poetry, sung poetry.
Here in his 'aging but hard fisting'... the showbizz moguls... who had so mistakingly buried him too soon. The title "Nougayork" itself was a very big success (search for it) from a person the public had never forgotten, always loved.
He was 60 or something (more) when he scored this 'pure mainstream' big selling album. Although a historic legend, he couldn't find a producer beforehand ! Take that !

I've always thought marcus miller was all over the bass in this album

Nile Rodgers plays guitar. CHIC bassist was the late Bernard Edwards.
Marcus Miller played only a few tracks on the Claude Nougaro LP, not all.
