Takamina is still my #1 but I can't help but respect acchan love for AKB. I feel really bad for all the members that lost rank but can't help but think they are missing the big picture. Regardless if they lost rank most of them received more votes then the Yuko or Acchan the year before. This means that if they had those votes they would be #1.
I think maeda must feel so overwhelmed by the fact that fans are still behind her and want her to be number one. Actually, I can't say I'm a fan of hers or any of the AKB girls in particular, but I know that as long as you're the most popular one, you will also be the one with the most number of people who dislike you... as a general rule. So, why is crying when she's first? My guess is overwhelmed with gratefulness and happiness towards her fans.
For Acchan, huhmmmmmmmm, I'm not a big fan of her. However, I have to agree that she has a freaking cute voice, especially her "sukida" part in "Iiwake maybe" or "Ohaiyo" in "Yasai sisters". But her energetic on stage is... (=.=!) I don't know, her face expressions are usually bored and she doesn't seem like to enjoy performing on stage. She does smile, but only for her parts and when the camera zoom at her. That's also a reason why I want Yuko to be center girl, Yuko smiles all the time
I am a Yuko's fan so I want Yuko to be AKB center. I also notice that Aki-P always gives Yuko good songs to sing (Pera Pera Perao, Heavy Rotation, I smile while I cry) so if Yuko becomes a center, maybe it will open another new century for AKB, like Heavy Rotation did in 2010. "Heavy Rotation" is the song that made AKB becomes phenomenal in Japan. But then, if Yuko becomes a center, she somewhat "steals" the spotlight from other girls because of her energetic on stage. People only focus on her.

even if i'm team yuko and wanted her to win....acchan actually said "hate me but plz don't hate akb" in a middle of the big nippon budokan stage infront of thousands of people. the chick is willing to be hated as long as people will like AKB as a whole so i think she really do deserve to be first. acchan got too much hate but for her to shoulder AKB despite being a quiet and reserve person really is something imo.
haha, I remember watching this here in Japan last summer. It was everywhere, newspaper, tv news etc lol. I think Acchan is kind of overrated cause she's been the AKB face for long time, but for me yuko is better.
