make sure if you don't discard paper roll when transplanting, that you plant it with the paper roll completely under the soil. any exposed paper will actually wick water away from plant and evaporate. just a tip i thought you might employ to prevent future problems. Great vid keep up the good work.
I've used this method and have had great success. Because we have chickens I also like to use the "discarded" egg shells. Again, you can just put them in the ground when you get sprouting.
As for seedlings, I have had decent success with the bottom portion of water bottles and soda bottles. When I am done with them I can just throw them in recycling too.
that's cool on doing that but on one of my other subscriptions (homesteading) they used paper egg cartons as seed starters and because of the paper sucking the moisture out fast the seedlings were slow to sprout (just a thought) compared to plastic pots
@ernest302 I have egg cartons as well that I wanna use. I'm sure there are many factors that go into and there is no ideal solution. Gotta just do and find out what works best for us.
great idea !! I have a bunch of those , now I going to use them for a good cause !! my very first veggie garden starter !!.. thanks!

@1978graham Word. I'll make sure that it's completely in the soil. I've been spraying them down with a mister a few times a day.

@anotherkindofdrew Nice man. I need to get some chickens on my balcony since it's so much more spacious than my fire escape.
