I seriously don't understand why Chris Nolan don't make a movie in 3d . That gives people choice , 3d fans can watch it in 3d and if somebody don't like it , can watch in 2d. And movie can make way more money, which is good for studios.
"The Dark Knight Returns" would've been a perfect title. The problem that title then would've been not with the "Batman Returns" movie but with "The Dark Knight Returns" comic book. There might have been some lincensing issues there but I think they could've worked it out. After all, "Returns" sounds WAY more appropriate for this movie than "Rises". It just doesn't make sense for the last movie to have the word "rise" in it. If anything, the this movie and the last should switch.

I'm disappointed the Riddler isn't a villian, since he's probably my favorite batman villian. I was hoping for Black Mask as well. Except those two, if I had to put 5 villians in order of which I'd rather see in the movie, it'd be:

Killer Moth
Mad Hatter
Firefly
Man-Bat
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about Catwoman and Bane (and possibly hugo strange) I just think It'd be better to use villians that weren't in a movie before. Give them a chance!!

I can't see how killer croc or man bat could be made realistically
@Arthus850 Actually, for Croc, he could make him realistic, given Croc's backstory as someone born with a skin disease. He's not the big 9 ft. monster in Arkam Asylum, that was done just for the game.

For Killer Moth, if they went back to the old comic version where he was the anti-Batman type villian, it could be pulled off.
I heard a rumour it was going to be called "Gotham City". But seriously, the only reason they decided to call it the dark knight rises, is so that people will associate it with the similarly named "the dark knight". Why not just call it "The dark knight begins" and go all the way?
Well, if Bane actually breaks Bruce Wayne's back in this movie, shouldn't it be called 'The Broken Knight' ? Or they could go off the Catwoman love-story and call it 'Pussy-Whipped Knight'. I dunno. Anyway I'm kidding, Christopher Nolan is awesome. And I really hope that Robin Williams plays Hugo Strange, as rumored.
I would've went with "Dawn Of The Knight"- which is actually a more clever way of saying Dark Knight Rises. As we know the dawn represents the rising of a new day. And the word Knight plays in as a clever alternative for night.

screw 3d, i havent seen a 3d movie worth watching since avatar. and that was the only movie i've ever thought was worth seeing in 3d. so yeah, 3d can go screw itself. title of the movie, WHO CARES, its a freaking title
i was also shocked to hear it wasnt going to be the riddler. i don't know enough about batman to even guess who else the enemies could be.

Yeah...Batman Returns...that's why you couldn't call it fucking "The Dark Knight Returns", that's why...
anyway, I was really looking forward to Man-bat, that would've been cool. At least they're doing Bane, which probably means they'll do the character justice, you know, some thing he been in need of for 14 years.

I'm disappointed the Riddler isn't a villian, since he's probably my favorite batman villian. I was hoping for Black Mask as well. Except those two, if I had to put 5 villians in order of which I'd rather see in the movie, it'd be:
Killer Croc
Killer Moth
Mad Hatter
Firefly
Man-Bat
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about Catwoman and Bane (and possibly hugo strange) I just think It'd be better to use villians that weren't in a movie before. Give them a chance!!

@PSIboy66 killer croc, killer moth and man bat are very unlikely to make it in a nolan movie if he makes another one. he's trying to keep the movie realistic which is why he removed the lazarus pits when ra's al ghul was the villain, and made the joker a man with a smile carved on his face and wearing makeup instead of a man who fell in a vat of chemacles. I can't see how killer croc or man bat could be made realistically

@Arthus850 Actually, for Croc, he could make him realistic, given Croc's backstory as someone born with a skin disease. He's not the big 9 ft. monster in Arkam Asylum, that was done just for the game.
I'll give you Man-bat as not realistic. I'm just saying in a Batman movie, not necessarily a Nolan Batman movie, he'd be awesome to see.
For Killer Moth, if they went back to the old comic version where he was the anti-Batman type villian, it could be pulled off.

I heard a rumour it was going to be called "Gotham City". But seriously, the only reason they decided to call it the dark knight rises, is so that people will associate it with the similarly named "the dark knight". Why not just call it "The dark knight begins" and go all the way?

Well, if Bane actually breaks Bruce Wayne's back in this movie, shouldn't it be called 'The Broken Knight' ? Or they could go off the Catwoman love-story and call it 'Pussy-Whipped Knight'. I dunno. Anyway I'm kidding, Christopher Nolan is awesome. And I really hope that Robin Williams plays Hugo Strange, as rumored.

I would've went with "Dawn Of The Knight"- which is actually a more clever way of saying Dark Knight Rises. As we know the dawn represents the rising of a new day. And the word Knight plays in as a clever alternative for night.
