hes a well promoted product.... Hes real name is Robert Zimmermann another Jew with a german name... I thought they where all supposed to have been gassed
Ur a fucken moron its ppl like u that started World War2, u degenerate fuck lol ur 49 and u probably live in your mothers basement still maybe your a little pissed cos daddy touched you when you were a kid :)
First off, it's you're, as in 'you are'... Second, it's just WW2, not "The WW2"... "Everybody knowS that"... So shove your swastika up your ass... Thirdly, he would have been more famous had he not spent six months licking acid off your grandmoms tits
dude elvishitler, you dont know a god damn thing about bob dylan. he wasnt bashing his folkie roots, he loves woody guthrie and lead belly. the people around him like pete seeger turned there backs on him after he went electric. the brothers 4 folk group is lame, but dylans early folk shit is some of the greatest music ever. read the lyrics dumbass
To elvishitler: Whats hard to believe is that you like Dylan... only the truely ignorant could compliment Dylan and trash his roots in one thought. You might be surprised by how many great bands and musicians have thier roots in this "crappy music". DUMB ASS

i've been a dylan fan forever. seeing his tour with the band in the mid 70s is still the best concert i've ever seen. one doesn't have to be a 1940s folkie to like dylan. remember this: even dylan turned his back on that shit old school workers rights folk music. think about that. dylan knew it it was lame. he left it and created his greatest music. so who's the dumb ass--ass wipe.
even dylan himself in the 70s trashed his folkie roots. read the rolling stone interviews from that period. dylan makes it very clear about what he thought about his early days. i'll take his word over yours. loser.
@Nighttime6 bob dylan or zimmermann made a comment recently, that folk music is for fat people.
now is that a knock on Bourke or what..you were just doing it, because every one was doing it. i have to laugh.
1000s of years history of folk music.. overcome by a stupid rock n roll hall of fame..we at the folk hall sing -the the bob dylan poem: by andrew pullman..

what the hell does that mean? if you're one of those work shirt-negro/worker rights-folkie-frozen in 1960 ass wipes, then i understand your comment. if you're at least under 50, please explain your comment.
I'm 25, and I have to tell you that Dylan's best albums were the one's he did before he began using electronic instruments. "The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan" is the very best.
@blondebouclee You do realize that Dylan trashed the folk scene and the counter culture movement in his book? Folk was popular when Bob started out, and he wrote and performed what he had to in order to get a record deal. He knew from day one, that he was going to go electric. Bob referred to folk music as,"a bunch of fat people". Bob had more in common with the Beatles than he did with any folk artist. He despises most of the songs he wrote in the 60s.
@castletriglav he also put down someone who I looked up to through my whole childhood in his book you might know Ronnie Gilbert ( of the weavers) he tried to say she told the crowd at newport one night to take him we dont want him" Now that's not at all what she said at all if you watch the video she clearly gives a nice introduction.
I also read that He told Joan baez that the only reason he wrote hard rain was because he thought it would sell.he turned and screwed over a lot of peoplewhohelhi
@castletriglav that's not quite true, maybe the protest songs, like emmet till and all that kind of ballads, but dylan truly enjoyed follk music, what about woody gutrhie ? of course he knew that if he wanted to achieved success he would have to start as a folk singer, but as any kind of roots, he loves folk, as he loves country or even bluegrass, that doesn't mean that he has to do that forever
@elvishitler yeah im three years late, but you are still 3 years stupid so i thought it should be said, folk is crappy music you think? obviously your an idiot, because folk is what got dylan famous, and no he didnt leave it because he thought it was lame, he left it because tho he loved it he really wanted to get a band going. DUMBASS.
hahaha Yeah, this makes me laugh too - Bob walking past and glancing at the camera like - "Uhh... I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do...Should I smile? No, this is awkward..." *walks quickly by*
People say that he's cold, but I think it speaks well of his character that he doesn't like the spotlight. Go Dylan!!!!
Was that all of Carolyn Hester? Was hoping to find a video of her singing "I Got the Baseball Blues 'Cause You Won't Give Me Your Baseball Shoes." She was blond by the time I saw her sing it, probably about 1967. I've never heard it again and have never forgotten it.
The group doing "Rock Island Line" was The Brothers Four. Also, at the time host John Henry Faulk was hosting a radio show on Westinghouse-owned WINS in New York - this, two years before that station went all-news. That might explain his taking part in this pilot.
His Royal Bobness had his 54th album out and Debuted in Billboard USA N1. This week he tops the European Top 100. HE is more relevant today than you would be in 10,000 lifetimes my child. Punk!
Dylan gives a look like, "this is a bit cheesy, but I'm sure you'll forgive me when I sing my song."
