I found everything about the update pretty cool, until I had to text 12 folders in my contacts, most of which contain 200+ contacts in them.....and the piece of crap tells me it only allows me to text 10 people at a time! What the hell man! My blackberry went from being the most efficient phone I've ever had for business, to a fucking iphone-esque piece of crap! I'm going back to OS 5.

On BB 9700, OS 6 eats up 130+ MB of memory out of 256 MB. If it crashes often, try deleting some apps to leave some space for the system. I like the universal search and the new web browser that supports multiple windows though.

The only thing I am missing is the number of unread messages next to your email icon. I have 4 emails on my BB and I have all of them in 1 folder. In OS 5, you could actually see the number of unread messages next to each email icon. I am not sure if it's just turned off or not but I haven't been able to find options for that.

Just to let everyone knows this is a software update, NOT a hardware update... you don't expect the iPhone 3 to do the same job as iPhone 4 so... don't expect to perform miracles... BUT this will improve your overall experienced of the phone.

yes it does have social feed, but when when you install this you need to make sure that it is checked because it is unchecked by default. Also, many people found it is best to NOT to use social feed and use individual apps for each social network or RSS because this social feed app takes up so much RAM when it is running leading to memory leaks.

Actually... I don't know where was your uncle when BlackBerry implemented the new WebKit browser. One of the main benefits of having OS6 is the new browser! RIM brought the WebKit package from a company called Torch Mobile and THIS OS is in fact partly designed by the Torch mobile... Your uncle is bloody wrong or he is not wise enough to know this.

google "tpb" and choose the top listing.

type in blackberry and click search.

across the column click the "SE" link.

choose one of the top listings for os 6.

click download this torrent (google if you don't know how to download torrents.

after it's done, google "install blackberry os 6"

you need to be on a pc, and have the latest blackberry desktop manager software.

but it makes it really sluggish...

Takes around 127.5mb from the memory and it dont let me install other apps..I got only facebook installed and every 15 minutes it sents a message saying that the memory is really low and i need to delete apps.. everytime i try to open a picture it takes like 1 minute or it get freeze
