Well, bound to have ppl not like the skit... that's a given. I can live with that. But I'd appreciate you telling me why you thought it was stupid, then it would be constructive criticism and not just a redundant comment. Thanks though.
Everyone has issues. You've put yourself in a tough spot by saying "we don't". Who's we? The church? your family? you? Cause obviously you have an "issue" with this skit.
Bringing my so called home "issues" (which I don't have) over something trivial as a skit kind of shows your immaturity, and I'm not willing to stoop to your level and make it a point to argue about. And believe me, the last thing I want to do is let you smell my dirty laundry (I'm wondering why you even brought it up?)
Making fun of the Pastors & elders is not spiritual at all. Shame on you young people.Infact, they are more efficient than you. They came to this country, worked hard& put you in medical school. The culture of making fun of elders is seen only in malayalee pentecostal people.Learn from non christians!!!
I'm extremely sorry saramma... sorry that you misunderstood the whole point of this skit. Knowing that you did NOT read the 2 disclaimers in the beginning, I'll restate the fact that I didn't disrespect or make fun of any particular party. I did not question the efficiency of the pastors & elders, nor did I pass any judgement of their character, work ethic or putting their kids through med school(?).
The skit's point was to make sure both youth and adults need to come to a common understanding to solve issues and to take action, not just sit back in keep dragging the issues by just talking.
Also I'd like to point out that "the culture of making fun of elders is seen only in malayalee pentecostal people" (which I didn't do) in itself is a hypocritical statement because every denomination, whether malayalee or otherwise, makes fun of their elders and its even more evident in non-Christians. Thank you for your comments, at least now I can feature a character based on this encounter in one of my future productions. Take care & God Bless!
Again, I can't emphasize enough that this skit was meant to be taken lightly but obviously you lack the emotion of having fun. I did not make fun of any pastor in particular... truth be told a very big percentage of pastor's can't really even speak English and it's to their own DIS-advantage when they make a blunder on stage when they do... is this my fault? No.
I read my bible, I pray, I fast & I respect my elders and no... I don't think I'm smart. Infact, I'll be the first to acknowledge that there are people way smarter than me but you are not one of them, unless you see reason. But even then ;)
FYI, you'd be surprised how many people don't know where Malaysia is... Especially the elders which by your profile, you're not (since it says age: 16) so I can pretty much guess who you are...
May be you had the chance in your life to go to school & learn many things. That does not give you the right to tease some one who did not have the money /resources to go to college or learn spoken English or World geography or go to Med school. If you do ,you are making fun of your ow nparents or grand parents
Frankly speaking... it's getting a little tiresome having to restate the same thing over & over again Saramma.
You have been judging me from the very beginning without knowing any info about me while advising me not to judge/tease others. Yet you're doing the exact same thing by judging me... all I can do at this point is smile and feel pity for you.
I believe in world literacy, I believe education (biblical & secular) needs to be provided to every single soul.
Your argument of "That does not give you the right to tease some one who did not have the money /resources to go to college or learn spoken English or World geography or go to Med school" is completely & utterly ridiculous because (and I'm going to make this absolutely CLEAR for you) I did not say or do anything based on that comment anywhere here or in the skit.
I've actually gone among the slums of my town in Malaysia to teach & promote the gospel to the young & old alike, so I suggest you look into the background of any person you'd like to judge/tease thoroughly before proceeding to do so, because as I stated earlier, you know NOTHING about me.
And if you've still not grasped all these points I've made so far, well... all I can do is shake the dust off my feet and move along, which I suggest you do as well. I'll definitely keep you in my prayers so that God gives you a more open heart.
Dude this skit is stupid.I enjoyed ur mallu gps though.that was good.
