seems to me that the Brigadier in combo with the Bluesky could really accomplish some soundscapy cinematic swells as well, no? How much more does adding the TImeline to the mix do?
@Passenger95 hey man nice demo...got a question....i just ordered the blue sky and el cap...if i already have the el cap would i still need this pedal for other tones?
Hey Karl, thanks for the demo! Sounds awesome! I just wanted to ask if sometime you could do a blog post or video (or both if you're just THAT generous ;) ) about improving your clean tones. Anything from just getting better basic cleans, or how to make your cleans more textural and stand out using effects and whatnot. I get tired of doing all my cleans with coil split, some slow chorus and an analog delay all the time at our services.
@Botdra I'll try to work on that...it's a great idea! Off the top of my head, the first step to good cleans is a good guitar and a good amp. Then don't let your effects get in the way and bog down your signal...so get some true bypass strips and a good buffer to put at the beginning of your chain. As far as effects to add, a slight bit of subtle delay (almost imperceptible), or a bit of deep reverb (amp, preferably) can help add a bit of a 3d sound. But amp & guitar first and foremost. :-) IMHO
@Passenger95 Thanks! Yeah I run a LM True Bypass strip as well, with a PolyTune and Boss CS3 (not the best buffer but it does help) before the strip. I have a great guitar and Blackstar HT-60 amp, so I think those bases are covered, the cleans are AMAZING! :D Also have coil split (gotta be as purdy as possible right?) as well. I do both of the delay and reverb methods, but your clean tone is still just amazing. Light years ahead of mine! And I'm pretty proud of mine :P Sounds awesome!! Thank you
@Botdra Oh, right on! You're all set then. :-) Honestly for me, I think I cheat by using the Matchless. I got a killer deal on it used, and it's just been the best thing ever for my tone.
I love this pedal. It is amazing. I want another one to complement my El Cap. The only reason I sold my first was to help fund a guitar.......thanks for the GAS.
I just played one for the first time on Saturday. I was actually super impressed with it. I ran it into the Blue Sky through a Bludotone amp in the FX loop. Talk about tone!
I sure hope the Timeline's analog sound is the same as this one!
@Passenger95 if I could get my hands on that pedal and a good tube, i could use that to record for my trance tracks because that thing sounds damn good :D

@bluesintheblood My go to ambient is Brig Blue Sky. The Timeline can add some nice tape modulation though too. :) Or loop the Brig.

Hey Bro, I dig your approach to the "art of
pedalboard" I'm brand new @ this and have
built my first Pboard. At the end of my chain
is 3 Strymons, El Cap. Brig. & Blue S. I would really like to create a communication
link with you. There is a ton I need to learn
of working these 3 together.

@doojpooj Ya, it works out pretty nice. It's from Pedals Ahoy on ebay...they're making some cool things!

@doojpooj You mean the actual acoustic sound of the switch? And ya, the DD20 does have some nice quiet switching. :-)

I think I found my next delay!
I have a DD-7 and CC, I feel like this will add a ton to my sound!
Thanks for a great demo!
