how did he solve that last question. "how many 2x2x2 cubes must be added to an 8x8x8 cube to make a 10x10x10 cube". I know its (10^3-8^3)/8, but how do you do that sort of thing in your head, and at that age.

@hifhif123 i saw it as fast as him and im his age (im studying for this currently) i just made a diagram mentaly, 5x5 for the top, 4x4 for the front and 4x5 for the side, add the products and theres your answer

@hifhif123 The easier way to think about it is that it is a cube with side 5 minus a cube with side 4 = 125-64=61.
