  • "Fixed it" now if i die tomorrow. HE and me will talk.

  • @MegaBeliever1 Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. What you mean is He is not just a man, but yes, He most certainly is a man.

  • Is the lead singer Catholic?

  • One thing. I hope all of you have realized that life is not just a game. It is a decision. You either decide to follow God, or live the way you want. BUT. Wouldn't you rather live a life for God, then burning in hell for the rest of your life? I would.. Any questions, send me a personal message. Jesus Loves:)

  • @EmilyMartin15 "burning in hell for the rest of your life?" <--- lol I thought if you were in hell that it was for eternity.

  • @Klutz13l true, true. lol i was tired when i wrote it haha

  • God is a Trinity, Check out Jews for Jesus. Zohar is Jewish book suggest this plurality in God. Go back to Hebrew roots. No lie can exist against truth.

  • this is another favorite jars of Clay song.

  • one of the most beautiful songs in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MegaBeliever1 he's both

  • continued: (Therefore God exalted him to the highest place) and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD to the glory of God the Father.

  • I can't read all the comments. Too many. When in doubt, read The Bible. Philippians 2: 6 - 11 covers the subject of Jesus' manhood and divinity.

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grassped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death - even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place...

  • October 1996 at its' finest.

  • Jesus is a separate person with the same spirit as the father. That spirit is the holy spirit that links the two and now all of us through his blood that he shed as a man. You can't have a relationship with the father without him. He makes us perfect so we can. That is why he is our Lord. We all are of the same species as god, as god was Adams father as well as Jesus. Stop and think, God is your Dad, scary but true. You have purpose then on earth. You matter, what you say goes in the heavenly.

  • Jesus is both God and man. This is the only way that we can have a relationship with the Father!

  • :( waiting for it to buffer is making me anxious, I love this song so much!!

  • They were great in the 90s ans still are:) Fan since May of 09!:)

  • love the chants in this.

  • yeah...the songs i love...thanks!

  • @MegaBeliever1

  • @MegaBeliever1 AMEN BROTHER

  • *** One of the best songs about Jesus....a favourate!! Cool video too.

  • Happy Easter ! (The video rocks)

  • I totally agree!! It is not a religion it is a way of life. A relationship. A spiritual one at that. You are not GOd. HE is not all of us and we are not all him. HE is that HE is.No more of this Oprah God is all thngs crap. HEIs the only way we get to spend eternity with God. Never let anyone tell you different.

  • I love Jars Of Clay. They have always been one of my favorite bands. But I swear hes trying to be Eddy Vedder in this vid.

  • That was a really good song. It was kind of weird seeing a rosary and hearing Latin in that song. I use Latin at Mass and most people think we're part of some Illuminati NWO fan club. I keep telling folks that's the Jesuits but people don't really listen these days. I think a lot of that has to do with television.

  • i LOVE THESE GUYS!!! ACTUALLY GOT TO SEE THEM ;YEAARS AGO AT FALLS CREEK!!!THEY ARE AWESOME!!

  • @dadof4married i saw jars and an opening act years back in jonesboro arkansas about ten years ago my freshmen year at williams baptist college

  • Christian grunge..... Isn't that some shit. Good album though.

  • @FamilymanDisaster they were big fans of toad the wet sprocket! far from grunge i dont feel this isgrunge

  • @rebecca807 The word "word" used here in greek (logos) means: something said (including the thought); by implication a topic (subject of discourse), also reasoning (the mental faculty) or motive; by extension a computation; specifically (with the article in John) the Divine Expression (that is, Christ) - account, cause, communication, concerning, doctrine, fame, intent, matter, mouth, preaching, question, reason remove, saying, speaker, speech, talk, thing, tidings, treatise, utterance, work.

  • haha. My youth pastor from Middle school used to play this whole album every Tuesday night. We all got together and played games in the church gym. His second choice: Bloom by Audio Adrenanline. great times...

  • This video is amazing. Go 90's! lol

  • woah i didnt know i was getting all these comments back to what i said months ago. I said that being a new believer, wow you people are so quick to judge and write comments that sounds more condemning that convicting, why do we bicker over little things or errors, the angels rejoice at one persons salvation despite our faults, God is always there, and im sorry let me correct myself God is fully man and God its past our tiny minds to understand

  • I absolutely love this song. Love the chanting in it.

  • Good music transcends all boundaries. Even religious ones.

  • he looked good with long hair as a youngster.

  • timeless

  • definitely one of my favorites of theirs.... don't really like the video, though.....

  • I'm not religious either, but this band has something!

  • I miss JOC.

I used to listen to them a lot.

  • Continuation of my last post - Then everything I had; and everything I believed in; came crashing down. I no longer practice Christianity and I haven't been to church in over 2 years. This is the story of a fallen Christian who had everything taken from him and who finally started to live his life unrestrained and without limits or rules. I won't criticize anyone for their faith; but I will say that religion only holds you back.

  • @anonymous3227 Then my friend, why did you follow religion instead of following Christ? Just asking. I don't wanna piss you off or anything. I'm just curious.

  • @anonymous3227 It's not about being a Christian, it's about having a relationship with Jesus Christ. It has nothing to do with religion, it's about being forgiven and justified. It's what Christ did on the cross. Take a look again my friend, He's pursuing you and He wants your heart.

  • @cmsievers63 Anonymous is going from vid to vid posting about his Marxist conversion. He's not looking for answers, he's looking to make us miserable, like him.

  • This is such a moving song. God Bless everyone!!

  • jars writes such inspiring catchy songs, along with a new christian band Red Letter Hymnal. They've got awesome stuff on youtube

  • we are waiting for you Lord...

  • Despite i dont levie in god, however I always love juses more then I ever doupt the existance of yawhee

  • You can't love Jesus and lack belief in God. Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father, but by me." To deny the existence of God is to deny the existence of Jesus as well.

  • This video should have way more views. Way better than most songs with millions of views.

  • He wasn't broken for nothing

  • Praise be to our Lord of Lord's and King of Kings! Alpha and Omega the beginning and the End! "Behold He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him." Worship and Praise Him Bless His Holy name! In strength, health, thru pain and tears worship our Lord Jesus. Do not fear the world, sickness, or death." He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the book of Life."

  • Haha look at Dan's hair back then! :D

  • @songofangels777 No kidding!!!!!!

  • A lot of people think that the Biblical stories of Jesus Christ dying for sinful mankind as being akin to a giant cosmic infomercial, where the item being sold is at best not even half as good as they make it appear, and at worst a gimmick or a scam... but I personally believe that the most powerful verse in the Bible is not John 3:16, but John 20:29: "...blessed are those who have not seen, yet believe".

  • Love this video! So 90s! JoC first record was one of the albums I heard the most in my life! Great memories as a teenager!

  • still my fav

  • true...Don't consider it to be a Christian...even Satan takes appearance of Angels...but his appearance doesn't even look like angels..more like of gothic followers.

  • what does Apostle Paul say? it's a shame for a man to grow his hair....I dont believe this band is truly Christian....sorry guys but his appearance looks more like of satanists rather than christian...and don't tell me "dont judge book by its cover" because appearance says a lot of what's inside a person.

  • @imwhoim100 lol are you saying they arent christian because of their hair?

  • @imwhoim100 “Judge not, that you be not judged." Jesus said that my friend.

  • @imwhoim100 @igoriv837 Are you serious?! Since when did you belittle the whole gospel being shared through a song that preaches about Jesus just because the lead singer has long hair? If you are this concerned about appearance then you might have to rethink what Christianity is about. It is about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and not appearances or long hair. Paul had many opinions but never differed on the reason for salvation.

  • @imwhoim100 oh my god haha, hair has nothing to do with it:b its the faith.

  • @imwhoim100 Samson was dedicated to Gob by his parents who promised not to cut his hair=God blessed him with great strength and it was only taken away when it was cut. Paul started life as Saul a man who persecuted Christians and wasn't redeemed until later in his life. Many of Paul's directions were true for his beliefs and not word of God he often made the distinction.

  • @imwhoim100

Actually you take that way out of context my friend, I have the verse handy if you would read the entire section then you would know this is the case. BTW it is not appearance that means anything in fact God reaches to many people of different appearances and standing just because he likes his hair long doesn't mean that he is a satanist, I have long hair because it is more convenient for me and I look overall better and more professional for it its just the way of things.

  • @TheRedemed In fact the meaning of that verse was it was a disgrace to look like a woman in those times, the verse was leading to the thought that it interfered with a Mans duties at the time to have longer than their ears because most of their jobs involved physical labor and as such long hair got in the way and many times caused problems for these jobs, IE go out and build a house with no hat with hair longer than average. It is annoying and interferes, yet this means nothing overall.

  • Man,Dan was hot in here,still is.

  • For some reason i don't like any other christian music except for jars of clay/ well i listen to jeremy camp, but i havent in a while. He used to be my favorite artist but then Jars of clay stole 1st place=)

  • I can't believe 5 people disliked this..

  • The opening is one of the best in any song I have heard.....love the chants too!

  • Jars of Clay is one of my favorite groups. They have such beautiful music and lyrics. I havent heard a band that comes close to what they do for me.

  • PSALM 22 !

  • JOC are very creative, their music makes you really think about GOD-Life. This was the first contemporary christian band that really got me interested in the genre. I then bought every album they put out. I probably have well over 500 CD's that are contemporary christian. The message of GOD, love, hope, faith & charity speaks volumes to my heart & touches my soul on a daily basis. I am grateful for JOC & all the other CC bands.

  • I'm not a Christian but I love Jars of Clay. Their lyrics have such a strong emotional pull.

  • @nataliemb89 that's because it has God in it, most all songs that have to do with God have an emotional bull, GO FIGURE

  • @FURRYDulaman Yeah, they're pretty manipulative when you think about it...

  • @nataliemb89 that's because God is in it, anything with God in it has a pull on people, makes sense.

  • INSTANTLY!...this song lifts my spirit and puts a smile on my face.

  • I love Christian music today! It ain't your Grandma's Southern Gospel ANYMORE!!!!!!

  • love the song, the beat, everything!

  • wow. this song is powerful! I get pumped up just listening to it and like 85% of the song sings "this is the one thing that i know" That's what makes is so emotional for me i guess. lol. I can just sense God's spirit in this song.

I'm surprised it was released 15 years ago.

God's music is powerful today, tomorrow and forever!

  • this makes me question why i've denied Jesus. i know He's here. and i know He'll come back. just like He said. i've just let my brain get washed. :\

i love it. gives me chills every time.

  • memories. nice.

  • GREAT GREAT SONG.

  • At the beginning of the song he's holding a Rosary. I love the Gregorian Chant. Makes me wonder if they're turning Catholic :-)

This song reminds me a lot of Enigma's Sadness from the early 1990s

  • @Luvmygrndhg If you listen to and watch the video for their song "Two Hands," you'll notice their later stuff is geared more towards the charasmatic religions, like Catholicism.

  • @lubemonkye27 lol

  • I love Jars of Clay, and this song has so much depth. It really makes me think of what Jesus went through, and the lyrics are very graphic, like you can picture it. They do a good job, and I love their writing style.

  • I LOVE ITTT

    GOD BLESS THEM!!!

  • awesome song...regardless of religion.

  • I'm not very religious either, I love Jesus! He isn't a religion he is a man :)

  • Dear Friend, If you understand that jesus is a man, then you misunderstood the whole life of Jesus. If you look at his claims then he never give us the option that HE is just a man. He only claimed that He is the son of God ( which means He is God). So either He is God or He is just some mad man or lunatic. @ChristCountryRunner

  • @ChristCountryRunner

On the contrary, He and His apostles gave us very specific instructions as to how our teaching and worship should look within the regular weekly assemblies we are commanded to participate in. Christ said, "If you love me, then you will obey me." So if we love Christ, then we should obey His commands regarding the church.

  • @ChristCountryRunner Apparently you have not read The Bible. Jesus wasn't a Christian, this is true. But he definitely followed Torah very religiously. Dumbass.

  • @ericopey How do I delete a comment? i wrote this a year ago and still get negative comments on it. I didn't know I would get so many comments from people who call themselves Christians that put me down so negatively. Matthew 7:3,5 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" "You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye."

  • @ChristCountryRunner Go to the "view all comments" then hit ctrl F (for find) type in your channel name. It will highlight all of your comments.. hover your mouse over the "thumbs up, thumbs down, Replay button to the right of your comment. A little drop down will appear.. You can then choose the option to delete comment. Hope this helps.. God bless you

  • @MLove4Christ Not "replay" but "reply" lol

  • @MLove4Christ the "see all" will work to

  • @ChristCountryRunner He isn't a man, He's the truth, the life, and the way!

  • @jediassassin79 Yes! Yes he is I believe that 100% I still wish I could delete this comment that I had made a year ago that I still get comments on though now because I didn't put the full truth not even thinking fully about what i was saying and i think some people think i put that in a negative way, thank you for correcting me, he is fully man and fully God is what I should have said.

  • @ChristCountryRunner AMEN TO THAT!

  • @ChristCountryRunner um, actually Jesus Christ is a religion - Christianity!! duh

  • @robjohnson27

woah i didnt know i was getting all these comments back to what i said months ago. • @ChristCountryRunner it isn't a 'little thing' if Jesus wasn't a man...it's absolutely essential to Christianity..if Jesus wasn't a man, there was no forgiveness of sins, and Christianity would be a radically different religion....I realize it was an honest mistake and I'm not judging or anything, just realize that it is a big deal, and people should get angry over heresies..most of Paul's letters were written to oust false teachers from the early church who taught this same thing

  • @ChristCountryRunner , Rev-rend! Brother.

  • @ChristCountryRunner Pay as much attention to your critics as Christ did to his. His words are still here, preserved for all to see and that is all you need to go by, at least according to Him, which is good enough for me.

  • @ChristCountryRunner Is this the right time to say, "Welcome to Earth"?

  • @robjohnson27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27

  • @robjohnson27 Nope Jesus is a relationship, religion is the thing that ruined that......

  • Comment removed

  • I've never been a real religious person, but this is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, period.

  • Another GREAT one!!!!!

  • As much as I love Flood, this is by far their best song.

  • "Maybe they're Catholic" or "Maybe they're Presbyterian" or "Maybe they are just mixed group of men of Christian denominations."

I think they are great. From a Catholic perspective I think they are as great as Audio Adrenaline DC Talk Newsboys and other great bands of the time. Those guys weren't Catholic and I didn't dislike them.

So just relax and enjoy the music folks.

  • I like chants and I am not Catholic. It is beautiful.... and anyway the only thing that matters is that you believe Jesus is God's only seen and you have accepted him. this is so silly

  • so what if they are Catholic.... I like chants and I am not. They are beautiful....

  • 0:39-0:47- Enigma much??

  • beautiful song with a beautiful message

  • Praise the Risen Savior. Death couldn't hold Him down.

  • fuck prods

  • If you can check to allow embedding, I'd love to add this to my rotating Jesus videos. Thanks for the vid, either way. Great Jesus jam; classic.

  • this is the song my youth group is doing a skit to for Easter we are going to nave flags of different countries twirling during the coruses

  • Yeah i used to listen to jars of clay when i was a good catholic...i guess i have a habit of growing out of things

  • you know the bible says 1 Corinthians 3:2 "I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. ..so most of the infants on hear will never outgrow their cribs.

  • old habits die hard yes....but i tend to outgrow the music i listen to

  • Yet Pat is extremely wrong and JoC is write here is the verse that proves it. Ezekial 18:20 No son shall be punished for the sins of the father and vice-versa. Also James states in James 1:27 the purpose for religion is the help the fatherless and the widows not to condemn them. Pat doesn't care about the people in Haiti he just doesn't want to send his precious money to people that need it. Pat stated he will not send money or aid to Haiti but all he will do is pray for them.

  • You also make no sense for this verse for it states translated that He (God) has fed us with milk not solid food because we were not ready. Through all of our triumphs and steps to becoming more like God we are still human and will still make mistakes. Either you did not finish your statement or you have taken something out of context. If I am correct you are talking about someone. I will infer you are talkin about Pat, yes he has his faults but he should be called out for doing/saying wrong.

  • Until I saw this video, I thought they were Protestant. So they are a Catholic band?

  • @NoPawn what made you ask if they are catholic?

  • they are protestant...i was just making a metaphor

  • Okay. No, it wasn't you. It was the rosaries and Crucifixes in the video. And even though I have been listening to this song for years, I saw this video for the first time yesterday, and it made me think the chants in the song might have pointed to that as well.

  • They Are Protestant. Charlie (Keyboard Player) Matt (Guitar) are both Presbyterians.. Not to sure about the other members of the band

  • This is an awesome song no matter what way you look at it.

  • they are human and time and again Christian or not we all fail its our ability to recognize and repent and turn back to God that will mean the difference between being in the light or falling from His Grace. They still make/made some great Christian music..

  • Pat Robertson is a shame to Christianity...

  • maybe you dont like his doctrine but pat Robertson is theologically on mark..please let me know why he is a shame to Christianity,,..

But one thing I am sure of is Jars of clay preach heresy and DO not have a doctrine

    You tell me!

  • To be honest Christianity is about loving everyone else and not judging them. Pat Robertson judges other which the bible says constantly not to do. How can he be on the mark when he hasn't gotten the point of Christianity. On his comment about Haiti why would God punish the people 200 years after what they supposedly did? This is a dying world and that was not God's judgement. Jars of Clay is a good band and they are just as much heretics as Martin Luther was.

  • if you are referring to matt 7 "judge not" verse you are taking it out of context.. Men reap what they sow and Haiti has fallen pray to strange Gods.

The bible is clear on this..Do your homework both in the bible and history then come back and tell me Pat is wrong!!!!!

  • @taxmino LOL!!!!!! You have not read the bible enough then. You have not read it since it says you will be judged as you have judged. Thus saying if you accuse someone of doing sinful acts and you yourself are doing sinful acts you will be judged as if you had judged the other. Thus he was stating 200 years ago Haiti sinned (another problem?!) and they are "reaping what they sow" now even though none of these people committed the crimes. Yet he loves money thus scares others for money.

  • @taxmino Now back in the Reformation the Catholic church was scaring the believers of that time that every sin they did would be accounted for and they would be judged unless they paid to the church. Martin Luther a catholic priest thought only your love of christ could save you not money. He spoke out against and got excommunicated and called a Heretic now look at Christianity it is based off of Luthers ideals. Trying to strike fear into others for money is a sin.

  • @TheRedemed I may totally be off the mark here but the point is each person has their own view of Christianity but the point is each must understand the basics of it to be a Christian. Pat Robertson may be right on mark with God in his personal life but his judgement drives others away. Is it true that only true Christians will go to heaven? Yes but should we flaunt that no. Our goal is to bring others to christ.

  • pats message was more then the haiti coment..he talked about helping them and their needing Jesus, prayer and out help..Dont buy into the few words he said taken out of context..

Before the earthquake hundreds of missionaries where in Haiti doing what they could..the will still be there one year from now.

yet its been 2 weeks since the quake and the rest of the world has already forgotten.

  • @taxmino LOL how were they taken out of context they were pretty straight forward. Yeah we have missionaries there but we also have them all around the world. Yes Haiti needs Jesus but telling them it is because of their sins that the quake happened is not the way to do it.... And the world has forgotten that tell that to the thousands of volunteers from 9 nations in the world. But the fact still remains JoC are not after personal glory or else they would be secular and would be richer....

  • Elisha and daniel.. would say what GOD wanted them to say regardless of the consequences...The fact still remains that PAT was theologically correct..and joc disagreed with what pat said..I am still wating for joc's biblical response.

until then they are doctrin of devils.

    2nd timothy 4

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

  • LOL you never even read what they said I have read both Pats statement and their statement. They said that what he had said was an excuse not to go help which technically is correct. What Pat isn't helping Haiti?! No he isn't because he says its a devil worshiping nation. He stated that he would pray that Jesus would touch the nation but he isn't sending aid. Is God really telling him to spread rumors about the nation of Haiti? He isn't telling me that in fact I feel he is leading me to help.

  • Yes some of his comments may be correct but his stuff about Haiti is incorrect. He stated that during the time when the French ruled over Haiti the Haitians made a pact with the devil to get their country back. First problem the majority of the French army had left when the Haitians rebelled, Devils working I think not. Secondly he said the quake was a part of the curse that had been placed on them. Again I think not if I get hit by a bus today was it my sin or just my time to leave the earth?

  • This has always been an extremely powerful song for me...a powerful song for a powerful Savior!

  • Whoa he hold a rosary at the beginning! Woohoo Praise God.

  • this is the one thing that I know, this is the one thing that I know. the one thing that I know!!!!!!!!!

  • A better translation would be "do not lean on your opinions." The Bible never advocates mindlessness. Look how Paul approached the noble minded Bereans.

  • "he didn't die for nothing" is true, he was "standing up" for what he believed in, period, I have all the respect in the world for a person like that and they're everywhere, people are always saving other people from accidents and they are seen as respectable individuals not holy, holy is superstitious in my opinion

  • isn't the pyramid grave he is near in some of the shots also in scenes in the movie "being there"?

  • I love the Gregorian chants in this. Then again, I'm partial to medieval elements in music.

  • Jesus died for us all,God is good .Jesus didnt die for nothing,This is the one thing that I know.

  • stop all the bible humping and let people make their own opinions please

  • dude-it's jars of clay. they are singing about knowing christ died for their souls. most jars of clay fans are christians. they are gonna talk about god and christ because that's what jars of clay sings about. it's not bible thumping.

  • glory be to God....no matter your differences....i thank God for everything...I'm thankful that I can get out of bed and dress myself without being assisted....so many things to be grateful for...keeps me humble

  • Over the years men have allowed ' other ' truths rather than The Holy Bible into their hearts.

by doing so they have allowed ' other ' spirits lead them to other parts where man shouldn't venture.

Remain ONLY with The Holy Bibe and burn all other books!

the other books are leading you and your belief in deep parts where you may not be able to venture out of. sadly.

Praise Jesus the Son of God..He loves you! He really really really does :)

  • jars are a chatolic group?

  • I've always liked this song, very heart-felt, too bad lately I've been thinking about how IF all that really happened like the 'book' tells it did then to me it's starting to seem like it was no big deal because he just came right back to life the NEXT DAY, if he had died permanently that would have been WAY MORE sacrificial. Let me do that!!--- it's impossible, but if I could be all 'special' for dying for everyone's sins and then coming back to life the next day that would be something
