  • que excelente banda

  • Again, Thank you.

  • I used to play the songs from this album during my college days.. reminds me and makes me nostalgic ..!! awesome song !!

  • Reminds me of my youth.........

  • This video always reminded of The Secret World of Polly Flint.

  • Miss Michael in here.

  • Hell yes--Takes me back to the days when music was actually good! I used to listen to this band to death along with Echo And the Bunnymen and the Smiths.

  • I have loved this from the first time I heard it. I actually thought it was U2 at first, because the singer's voice at certain points in the song sounds so much like Bono, it just didn't like a song they would have written, then I found out about this band, I was very pleased, went out bought the CD. Shit I miss the 80's.

  • I guess two GLJs are better than none.

  • Amazing, timeless song.

  • we like this song so much years ago wth my neighbors and friends......thanks to GLJ..!

  • thanks @jsallua for posting this! gene loves jezebel has always been a part of my childhood. i always wanted to know what they were like, music videos etc. now i get a glimpse into my dad's music past!

  • @pinay22690

    You're dad has excellent taste.

  • I LOVE it! xxxx

  • Fan # 1 de Glg .

  • Oh God. I never new the name of the band, In Mx. it was hard to have cool radio stations... 'till now I have seen the video! jajajajaja.... a little late, I guess...

  • The bomb of madness !

  • Jeden z ich najlepszych kawałków,

  • @theZibi72 nie znałam... smakuje...bardzo....wielkie dzięki

  • I saw them in Camden Palace long, long time ago.Thank you for a good night!

  • was so great, this time!!!and this band!!

  • Thanks for this! I've been searching for this video on and off ever since I first saw it in the early hours of the morning on MTV in '93. I can't believe how accurately I've remembered it!

  • Great vid

  • I don't have enough words for how much I love this band.

  • Awesome

  • look, stop with your bible shit....its simple jesus was either A, the son of a rapist, or B the son of a whore!!! look at the supposed facts!!!

  • Don't you get it? Magdalen had blood ties to Mother Mary before she came unto Jesus. Yes she could be Isis in disguise very easily. Which would explain why Moses was sent in a basket down the Nile unto Egypt to save him from the slaughter in Israel. Joseph's side had to have a Jezabel huh? You gonna tell me the front man doesn't bear resemblence to the Archangel Raphael to some uncanny degree? Josephine now you know how it got to France in the bigger picture...food for thought folks!

  • Ofcourse Jezebel from the bible. I mean if Magadalen was a woman of ill repute....another beauty Jezebel in demand by male suitors would have to be the slut huh? Shocking secrets of the bible....

  • I LOVE this video its so....well am I the only one that sees the beauty? Doesn't it have the Archangel Raphael written All over it??? That is what I see & feel...Raphael's family. Also Joseph father of Jesus & a day when the French Monarchy ruled peacefully. Long before Charles put itself above David & Elizabeth above Mary...........

  • i feel like josephina, I´m a dreamer girl I´m no from this world!!!!

I´m looking for my man but I can´t find him I´m walking so alone now

  • you`ll find him, be patient

  • Seventeen years ago?

  • Sound like a Mission/Waterboys hybrid but not as good as either

  • predates both the mission and waterboys

  • No it doesn't..this came out in '92...The Waterboys had been going for 10 years, The Mish for 7 years...as I said a bad rip off

  • Sorry, i meant that the band, not the single predate both bands (Gene formed 1980) waterboys formed 83, and are a little bit more "folky" than this... :)

  • These guys put on a great live show I saw them in st pete FL back in the 80`s at sunset it was magical.

  • U-2, New Years Day.

  • Far out. Great song, freaky video.

  • man this vid is so trippy

  • One of the greatest bands ever, way before their time. It is very sad the brothers are in personal turmoil. Blood is thicker than water.

  • so true.

  • @ aioria87 - Did you not know of the breakup between the twins? There are 2 Gene Loves Jezebel bands... and one twin is suing the other.. all bitter and nasty..

  • I saw Gene on their Kiss of Life tour. They sounded great!

  • I have to agree.I love gene luvs jez since the first time i heard them took my 13 year old daughter to see tem in San Antonio .

  • Greatest underrated band ever along with Thin Lizzy. This rocks. Thanks.

  • Sexy and smokey. It's my favorite Gene Loves Jezebel song.

  • where is his brother?

  • Most of the songson this album were Killer!

    Over looked, sadd.

    WC

  • Some great songs, but not consistently brilliant, gotta have more than a hand-ful of good songs to make it to the top..

  • they may b really old, like early nineties old, but i still luv them!

  • Early nineties? Dude, they released their first single in 1982!

  • WHY THEY WERE SO FRIKKIN UNDERATED?

In what world we live ?

  • dragannov: As for WHY they were so underrated, yeah that still disturbs me too, lol. Unfortunately I think a lot of the problem was internal - not just the wrangling between Michael and Jay, but too many line-up changes and record company stuff-ups... it didn't help anyway. Also, they alienated a lot of early fans when they changed musical direction so drastically. Mind you this isn't necessarily a criticism, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

  • thank you so much for sharing your opinion with me (us)

  • Could you please elaborate on what you mean by 'musical direction'?

Because I thought they were a New Wave/Post-Punk band, but I've heard songs of theirs that sound more like Hard Rock. Very Bon Jovi-ish, only darker.

    Thank you in advance.

  • lightningstrike92 -

Sorry, only just noticed your Qu:

That's exactly what I meant by their change in musical direction. GLJ started off as a post-punk (kinda "proto-goth") band... then changed to a more commerically oriented harder rock sound. FYI, I preferred the former, but that's just my own personal taste.

  • una de las mejores bandas

    heavenly bodies!!

  • this album, heavenly bodies completely rocks. its a slight departure from the sound of the previos album kiss of life, but it rocks !! but thats what keeps a band interesting when they experiment

  • this song takes me long way back, boring holidays with parents headphones on 24/7

  • This one takes me back... Wow, what a haunting song. There's a girl at my work named Josephina we sing this song to.. Yeah, better call Human Resources! *wink*

  • The Album version is a bit better, as its a min longer, and has a nice Guitar bit at the begining

  • if yall luv funny videos go 2 josephina. it has a video series i nearly peed myself lol!!!=)

  • I love this song but dislike this band.

  • My Dad produced this!!

The reason it reminds u of Simple Minds is... he worked with them to...

    Nice Hair J ;)

    James

  • your pop is very lucky-- what a dream job he had! and he did a good job here! did he produce this album, or solely this single? do you not think Gene L J was so underrated? i think the American market didnt totally accept them- maybe because they had sort of a goth quality to them. those haunting melodies that are so beautiful. nowadays, i do think theyd be HUGE. i post too much, dont i? lol

  • Nah,,it is a lot to say for this band.. I could go on about it but...it is to much. I think they made great music! VERY GOOD!

  • This is gonna sound totally off the wall but this song always reminded me of U2 meets Guns And Roses.

  • Great song, great album, great band, great video!

    Did i miss anything?

  • Had no idea there was avidep for this song, I got the CD album Hevenly Bodies andthe CD album VII off Ebay a few months ago and they both fantastic, well worth buying

  • my name is ; josephina (L)

  • think these's a lot more Duran Duran. I really liked this band. They were on heavy rotation on WBCN in Boston. Afternoon jock LOVED them. I liked the singer and guitar sound.

  • I love this song and Rosary. Good Stuff!!!

  • So much U2 sound in this song. This one is in my top five GLJ.

    First is Desire

    Break the chains

    Downhill bothways

Come and see what I got

  • U2?

I think is more like first Simple Minds songs....

  • よい日日本人を読んだ私のアメリカの友人。 私はアメリカの父の土地そして生命について言語を今話すことができる誰でもを見つけることをここに試みることのまわりでちょうどだましている。

  • This one and Sweet sweet rain, amazing songs!

  • e impresionante.......

  • love ................

  • are you serious about the chargrave guy? is that really Mike? lolz

  • Oh the vid is amazing, only a little sad both twins arent in it, I wish they would have gotten along a little more as they are both amazing people, and amazingly attractive still to this day.

  • @deathdealer0571 That's true, it's a shame they aren't together in this great band, I guess it would be better for everyone. Even so, you can't deny they are AWESOME :)

  • One's of my fav band ever!!!!!!

  • muito bom acho que a boa musica tem que ser divulgada mesmo, uma otima banda

  • Can anyone get me the guitar tab for this??? Please?

  • excellent song thanks for posting

  • Beautiful song you are a great group!!

  • it would be nice if the album \ cd this song and break the chain came from , Heavenly Bodies, wasnt out of Print, i had to get the cd improted from europe oner 13 years ago, maybe more, and its too bad, the damn cd got lost somwhere in my travels. i got real lucky and got this song and break the chain from limewire after looking for years, one day it was there , two songs that played a big part of my young adulthood, it was fate, if anyone has the entire cd, rip it and put !

  • Try Ebay I got my copy of the album on CD about 3/4 months ago and it was about £6 including postage from the US to the UK

  • Def Leppard meets U2. Horrible, shallow and pimply. This was a great band. This sucks, a turd.
