From what I've read, Cleveland was already close to bankruptcy when he was elected. Kucinich refused advice to sell the city-owned electric company, and the bank recalled all the city's loans. Now people in Cleveland have saved almost $200 million in billing over the last 10 years. He campaigned and won his current office thanks to this. If anything, I think it shows he is willing to do what he thinks is right, even if it costs him an election.

In a two-horse race the Neocons only need a pair of syringes. If you'd like to experiment with democracy, you first need genuine proportional representation-e.g. MMP, which will open up voter choice. You also need presidential candidates who aren't effectively chosen on the size of their campaign contributions.

Hillary and Obama want "unity" at the expense of actually doing anything. They (and now I'm including Edwards) will withdraw from Iraq, but barely any faster than they are now. Obama may have been against the war, but that was an easy position to take when he didn't have to vote on it. Given his position on Iran I'm sure Obama would be a Hillary clone if he were in the senate earlier than he was.

From what I've read, Cleveland was already close to bankruptcy when he was elected. Kucinich refused advice to sell the city-owned electric company, and the bank recalled all the city's loans. Now people in Cleveland have saved almost $200 million in billing over the last 10 years. He campaigned and won his current office thanks to this. If anything, I think it shows he is willing to do what he thinks is right, even if it costs him an election.

Its a shame that Hillary and Barack have gained such popularity simply for the fact they they are a minority and a woman. Though it would be nice to have a non-whiteman as president for a change, I would rather have Edwards or especially Kucinich in office because they are much more clear in their progressiveness.
