Great Job!!!! Just finished my own subway layout ....now just have to get it on YOU TUBE that may be harder for me then building the layout LOL LOL ! But Look for me soon on YOU TUBE and let me know what you think
No it does not. The pickup shoes are just plastic, and undersized at that so that they would not snag the wayside. Therefore also the third rail is also for looks. It is constructed from 1/8" square wood, painted black on the edges to represent shadow, and brown on top to represent the protection plank. It is supported on glass beads from Walmart with a nail through the board, bead and roadbed.
I photographed the wall on a visit to the city, and then used a photoshop type program to adjust it, and a pagepublishing type program to print it out on a color laser printer.
@BrooklynRalph The pillars are 1/8" square wood material. On a color printer I printed the flat parts of the I beam complete with the lettered signs. The card stock is printed on both sides. The are glued to the wood whcih was previously painted green.
Great job on this video....That model train looks so real, never seen anything like it!

What did you use for the pillars?
Are they 1/2 inch square?
