You wouldn't need all those gears if you just used a wormgear under the gear that fires the rubberbands, and had the motor spin the wormgear.

with a load of gears to slow it down, but you will need a big engine and a lot of gears to make a gun like this which is able to shoot like 45 rubber bands!

the non lego moter set included some gears which I used to connect the lego gear to the engine gear. But I was lucky too that I Managed to connect those two gears to eachother
