I'm having the same problems. I would talk to a guy for 3 month everyday and have long talks and texts. We started to hang out and then everything stop. We would text and I have to pull everything out of him. I'm just starting date and not get to happy about a guy after 4 month. So over it.
We have similar mindsets. I was in a relationship for 5 yrs. After breaking up, my friends were telling me I 'needed' a man, completely ignoring that I just got out of a long relationship. He was the only guy I was with since I was 16 (I'm 23) so I needed some time alone. I'm talking to a guy now, but I'm not rushing anything. Enjoy being single gals; it's not a death sentence.

I dated a guy and he was mad because I would not move to second base with hiin, he told me we both are grown people, I told that the reason I don't jump in the bed fast, I have a friend name Sam and he stay in my closet forvere, even though I'm married I'm not to going to dump Sam. lol
In other words have hella (responsible) Fun. Don't limit yourself and if it takes to long to teach people how to treat you it isn't worth it. Keep your head held high....
