Excellent work on the title, your drumming is about 60% Peart and 40% Beauford. Pretty damn good drumming, I could say ten or twenty negative things but 1. I cant do any better myself and 2. Why bash a good musician?

Great playing, but your drum tuning needs a little work. Those drums are way beyond the natural timbre of the shell, choking out the sound and resonance. Any drum can sound good with mics folks.

Use thin Diplomat-style heads and tune them beyond the shell timbre to get that sound.

Pretty good playing though...gotta give him that. He uses machinations of Neil's solos in some parts, Carter's hi-hat style.

I just saw Rush in concert a few days ago. I definitely hear some of Neil's various solos in your vid! I especially noticed the boom-ts-ts part with the kick and hi-hat pedals. That seems like it'd be a bitch to do while playing the other drums. (This coming from a lowly bass player who definitely doesn't have the hand and foot independence of a drummer! :-) )

Whats with everyone thinking Portnoy is so great? Yes, he is fast but I bet that is all he is. Give Portnoy some mathy drumming and he will fail. Don't get me wrong, he is a good drummer but he is not by any means as good as people make him out to be. Awesome drumming man sounds great! Love the sound of your kick and snare!

This is amazing, but I see more Carter than Neil in this solo. You play like Carter for 4/5 of the song, then relax stylistically into Neil and bang on your snare too much like Neil (which is my biggest complaint about him). Overall, amazing job, you clearly deserve to be playing in a big band!
