WTF? Does Gay Rights have to do with other Rights?
Anyway, 'Rights' have to be earned or taken. Blacks earned their right for equality because of WW2, The Korean War, The Vietnam war and the Civil Rights movement.
I'm sure the Gays have done these things, but I think they have make it more open like for example, Gays fighting, killing and dying openly along with straight people. That would be a start.

I can't begin to tell you how much this video angers me. I am a Canadian where gay marriage is legal. I don't know why it is necessary for people to come up with these ridiculous comparisons with gay marriage. Slavery does not even compare to gay marriage civil rights at all. I think that prop 8 should be overturned but do I think they are going to get it done by making a parallel with slavery; ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Prop 8 changed the CA constitution by removing a right of the people. This series of videos is pointing out that it's bad to let the electorate vote to remove rights from people.

You do realize that "gay rights" are not in the US Constitution... the 13th amendment IS. Until an "anti-prop 8" amendment is in the Constitution, these videos aren't worth the space needed on you tube to host them. Uh, the right came from the CA Supreme Court. There is also precedent from the U.S. Supreme Court saying that marriage is a right [in their holding in Loving v. VA when they legalized interracial marriage].

I brought those up because of historical reasons for banning certain kinds of marriage (religion being the BIGGEST reason, saying that no two races should mix, no two religions, and no two people of the same sex) My point was that there is NO wrong as long as its real love between two consenting humans who have no close blood relation to eachother. If marrying is a privilege, then yes it can be denied to anyone if it is in the state's interest. We don't allow murderers on death row to marry and they get plenty of marriage proposals from women. We don't allow siblings to marry or immediate relatives or more than 2 people. THey are all privileges.

Whoever decided that "equal rights" should be such a fundamentally good thing anyway? I guess you don't know, but many religious intuitions give same sex couples the sacrament of marriage. No proposition can stop any religious institutions from performing gay marriages. They just took away the right to legal civil marriage for new couples which is immoral, unfair and wrong.
As this brilliant comedy shows, when we start taking away rights from people, it's a terrible thing.

Uh, the right came from the CA Supreme Court. There is also precedent from the U.S. Supreme Court saying that marriage is a right [in their holding in Loving v. VA when they legalized interracial marriage].
Please explain to me how taking away certain Californians' rights has any reasonable social purpose. It's "immoral, unfair, and wrong" to take away people's rights. It's immoral, unfair, and wrong that I was able to get married at City Hall but no other same-sex couples can. Repeal H8.
