Very imaginative adaptation of a great story! The only thing that bugged me was getting half way through the HG version, then had to continue with Orson Well's version to see the rest.? Always wanted to try stop motion with my super8 Chinon that has that function. The radio version reminds me of a late night show on WMMS (FM) called"Archie Rothman's Time Machine" in the 70's that replayed all the old radio shows, including this one! Good job!!
Although I wasn't on this earth when this was first broadcast I remember my grandfather playing it one Halloween. It was after all the trick or treaters had gone home. He shut out the lights and put this record on. There was something about having to use your imagination to 'see' what was going on that made it even more frightening.
Thanks for bringing back those wonderful memories.
WOW! The whole radio broadcast put into animation was a fantastic and wonderful thing to watch. Well done to you. I will be telling my friends to search this out.
Loved this WOTW series even more than INVASION FROM MARS 1-9!! The Red Martian plants everywhere, the ranting soldier in Jersey, and the walk through New York as a ghost city were REALLY powerful. Why'd you wait until almost the end to animate the professor's mouth? Effective, nonetheless, blocking reporters mouths with microphones. I really doubt an African American would be a radio newscaster in 1938, but this suggests it might have happened somewhere. Overall, this series was good stuff!!
Kudos!I've been waiting for the final chapter and it sure did meet my expectations. I also have digital blue, but in no way can i match your great adaptation. Hopefully if your not busy, you could give me some tips on how to make a successful wotw film like yours.
not that bad but still SAD!!!!!!
