Su Fei seems proud of her Jewish heritage, but she doesn't strike me as too concerned about keeping kosher. I'd guess she'd educate her kids to think of themselves as Jews too (by Jewish law, she'd be correct to do so as they'd be considered Jews because she is and we go by the mother) but I doubt she is very interested in being an Orthodox Jew. I actually know a family that fits that description, the Mom is Jewish, the Dad is Chinese and never converted, kids were raised Jewish though.

I come from the northernmost province of china,Heilongjiang,where its capital city Harbin once had one of the largest Jewish community in Asia.They fled from Germany in the late 1930s,and contributed a lot to the forming of the city. And if I'm not mistaken,the largest public Jewish cemetery of Asia is in Harbin too.

From what I understand, most of the Jews in Harbin were of Russian origin. (Makes sense, it is close to Russia.) Ehud Olmert's parents (the current Israeli Prime Minister--until they kick him out of office) were born and raised in Harbin and only came to Israel in the 1940s.
