Souvent on entend ici et là : "Viernes, Widor, Dupré, Guillou et après, qui?"

La France a en effet la réputation d'avoir toujours eut une école d'orgue très distinguée et je crois, non sans le connaître personnellement, que le jeune Maître Jean Baptiste Monnot, en est de loin le plus digne héritier.

C'est une des plus grandes interpretations que j'ai jamais entendue de cette pièce. Vraiment d'une immense expressivité, sans les solites "contaminations baroquistes" tipyques de notre époque! Superbe.

After listening to Monnot's spectacular Vierne Toccata, I'm now equally stunned by this one, full of musical intensity. A complete artist, for sure.
