Strider SnG

The Spyderco Paramilitary 2 is nice, but IMHO it is not in the class of the SnG.

I obtained a Strider SnG early in my knife collecting life. I was not convinced at that time that it was worth the money. Now that many other knives have passed through my hands, I realize how great Striders are, especially the SnG. Worth every penny and more.

Are you sure that isn't a knock off? Just doesn't look genuine. The badging on the blade is all wrong, that one female nut on the clip side looks like it has been replaced, and the hinderer stop doesn't ring true. From the looks of things the blade is the part that may have been replaced with a knock off. No disrespect for you or the individual you got it from, just an honest observation.

Just bought my first Strider today, a Gen 3 SNG Tanto, can't wait til she gets here. I've been a big fan of Emersons, something tells me I'm gonna love me some Strider too. I live in Mississippi, and you're right, everybody carries a blade, I couldn't live in a place that was afraid of my knife. Take care.

Plenty of fine knives out there well below the cost of a sng. Wouldnt sit well with me to support anything Mick Strider does or his products. That being said, nice blade!

Nice review...I'm selling my month old SNG DGG if you know anyone that's interested. It's black with Dual Gunner Grip, and is in excellent condition. The blade edge has not touched any surface, and there is no blade play in any direction. Love the knife but want to get the SMF and can't afford both.

By the way,I just bought a few Zero tolerance knives,one of them, the 0200, didn't have assisted opening like the 0300 and 0400 did,so I did some work and voila!,I now have the only assisted opening ZT0200 on earth!

It turned out pretty well.

Wish Wisconsin was the same way. No, I'm surrounded by a bunch of protectist agenda hippies. I pull out a 2" blade to cut packing straps and I'm instantly a serial killer. Too bad for them that I carry a SOG Powerlock, Spyderco Police3 G10, and a Kershaw Scallion on a DAILY basis. Last time I checked, I never wanted to hurt anyone with my knives either.

I have had this one for 2 yrs now and most of the paint has flaked off.

Hey cajunblaze, I would just like to say that there is really no need to sent the knife to other people to get it sharpened. Buy yourself a DMT aligner guide and rod kit. There is no skill needed and you can put a razor edge back on that Strider in about 15 minutes. Many people have said that the spyderco para has the sharpest factory edge that they have ever seen. Every time I sharpen my para I can get it much sharper than when it was new in about 15 mins, easy as making a cup of tea... IMO...
