  • boogey man was nothing but silly, but in those day i had to get up out of my chair to change the channel. hated that guy. the same with lawler, who stole that crown from a butter commercial. not everything about the glorious years, especially the 70s, was glorious.

  • no sound

  • Also, Youtube are pieces of shit for bending over and taking it up the ass from these cretins. Pussies.

  • Everyone who works for WMG should be assraped by a rabid pitbull with AIDS.

  • Hope they enjoyed their "protection" of their copyright, I'll remember this the next time I go to buy an album (yes I'm old enough to remember "albums")

  • what the--

Billy Squier should be grateful for the pub

    weak

Why not just mute the song instead of the whole video

  • What a bunch of assholes Warner Music Group are for having the audio disabled. For crying out loud it's music from an old pro-wrestling show!!! Dickheads!!!

  • "Everbody wants you" by Billy Squier was the theme song for the Fabulous Ones. Rick Rude stole it from them.

  • I'd much rather check out Rude's valet than watch a video of him! I think Angel was her name.

  • Handsome Jimmy, that crazy son of a gun! Lol. Spent the day with him years ago. He is a complete gentleman outside of wrestling.

  • King Fish could never beat Handsome. NEVER DADDY!

  • Funny, I must have seen Lawler beat Jimmy 50 times

  • Why you gotta be lying like that. King Fish never saw the day he could pin Handsomes shoulders to the mat daddy. Don't be lyin' daddy cause Handsome was raised by a gypsy... you know Handsomes cool! You know it!

  • LONG LIVE The Boogie Woogie man!!!

  • I think this is the best combo of a wrestler and a song. Jimmy Valiant is a true legend! Long Live Boogie Woogie Baby!!!!

  • what was the deal with FM 100 on the trunks? Wrestlers advertising on the tuckus?

  • FM 100 is a Pop/Rock radio station in Memphis,Tn. WMC studios is a building that housed the radio station broadcasting and the studio where local wrestling was taped

  • I always thought that Jimmy Valiant was a no-nothing in the ring. And nothing says double-tough like coming out to the ring to a Manhattan Transfer song.

  • lol..Manhatten Transfer and tough...classic...

  • Hilarious bud! Good to see the occasional clever thought written in here!

  • Her name is Angel. She was his first Valet when he broke into the business

  • Who was the woman w/Rick Rude?

  • Lawler one of greatest self promoters

  • To an extent. Crockett bought out Geigel's NWA stock and took over the Kansas City NWA promotion. Geigel himself took the people under contract to him; such as the Batten Brothers and Mike George and launched a new promotion called World Wrestling Alliance. Initially, Geigel's new promotion aligned with the AWA, but later crowned Mike George its own World Champ.

Ironically, the Central States promotion is now an NWA affiliate again today.

  • Jarrett's CWA remained independent, just like Bill Watts in Mid-South until the WWF went national, then they came in to help out the Georgia promotion. As proof that no good deed goes unpunished, Crockett bought out Watts, screwed over Bob Geigel in KC; at which point Geigel and Jarrett threw in with what was left of the AWA.

  • That was a classic!! I was waiting for Rude to say, "Cut the music."

  • I love all the cutting-edge effects done during the Rick Rude video that just make it look like YouTube is having trouble playing the clip.

  • thanx, detchuck for clearing that up for me.

  • somebody tell me when did jerry lawler leave the NWA to join the AWA associated CWA in MEMPHIS?

  • Aww man. Starcade 84 from Greensboro NC.

IMAGINE seeing that. The good old days.

  • Jerry Lawler always looked like he just took a bite out of a piece of toast with some Imperial margarine on it.

  • dun...da..da..daaaa! LOL!

  • Valiant was like a precursor of Hulkamania

  • When Valient hit the Carolinas, he was on fire. Although I was never a fan of his, I realized his incredible popularity.

  • Hard to believe that thee most electrifying move in sports entertainment history was 1st used by the Boogie Man. It seems like the boogie man can sue The Rock for copy right infringement. Good post.

  • Was that Rick Rude at the end?

  • Nope, it was Umaga.

  • Valiant was at his peak as a face during this period, but three years later, his gimmick got really old. His matches got to be really repetitive, especially the TV squash matches. I guess he got lazy. Fans started booing him and he would practically beg them to cheer in interviews. Surprised he didn't turn heel. I'd like to see some old footage of him as a heel.

  • old jimm veos he so cool

  • Championship Wrestling from Georgia chapter.6

    one best

  • valiant was the best! hilarious

  • Valiant was heavy into drugs and alcohol in the Memphis - CWG years as were most of the wrestlers of that time.

  • Valiant was horrible. I always hated that guy.

  • Man is it me or does Valient look like a street urchin/bum
