I've been playing music for about 26 years now...the string portion of this song near the end was one of the first things i attempted to learn on my first little casio keyboard before I knew what the hell I was doing...I did somehow figure it out though...kind of nostalgic coming back to some of the musical roots...but at the time, I guess being 10 years old I never really noticed that the song was all about getting laid and corrupting the innocence of my childhood:)

Are the '80s cool? Last week I was riding in my truck with my 11 year old son and this song came on the radio. I turned it up, I have a pretty good sound system, and rocked it. When the song was done, my son turned to me with wide eyes and and said "That was sick dad!". Yes kid, it certainly was. Btw, other "sick" songs according to my son- Phil Collins' "In the air" and Motley Crue's "Home sweet home". :)

An absolute epic. One of the best hard rock songs ever. Right up there with Zeppelin's Dazed and Confused. Interesting that the guitarist uses a bow at one point ala Jimmy Page in Dazed. Great band....all great players, and Coverdale one of the top[ three frontmen of all-time...up there with Plant and Tyler. Nice triplets near the end on the kit by Tommy Aldridge. He probably heard Bonham do that a few years earlier in Dazed. And OMG....Tawny Kitean is a goddess. All you can do is grunt.

It's very Zeppelinish, the groove during the main riff, the way it goes into a 2 minute long quiet part, and the way Coverdale sings, I think that he and Plant have the same vocal range.
