Maybe you can be famous in Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu, but not that much as I can see the number of views and likes you get... Dhanush's song is world famous now... All of India, Sri Lanka (including our Sinhala brothers) and other foreign countries have been taken over by this 'Kolaveri' song... even there are US FM channels discussing the meaning of 'Kolaveri'. I think after Swami Vivekananda, Dhanush is the famous Tamil person in USA.

Nobody can't deny that there were around 400 cases of pre-age pregnancy in Jaffna District last year... and increasing drug usages too... kolaveri is a time pass entertainer and i don't understand why some tamil people criticize it, it is an english song and dhanush has written couple of good tamil songs, example peri thedum in mayakkam enna, it is not his fault for the song going viral, it was never meant to be so seriously if you are concerned about "tamil", next time when you answer the phone stop saying "hello", say "vanakam" and this is the first tamil version of kolaveri, good work by jaffna boys.
