I am a Lexus fan, but this car is a bit disappointing. If I want to invest $400,000 in a car, I would definitely buy a Lamborgini or Ferrari. So the price isn't reasonable. The 2012 Nissan GTR goes faster than this car but costs 1/4 of it! Not sure what Lexus was thinking when they introduced this car to the market.

this car is the most perfect supercar. even though it is no faster than the ferarri 599 and is barely faster than the nissan gt-r, the body and the engineering of the car is sheer perfection. it has a v10 engine that is smaller than the v8 and lighter than the v6, it has perfect aero-dynamics and is made to be light. it is THE perfect car, totally worth 400,000$. even at that price, lexus does not break even per car they sell. serious shit, it's sucha perfect car.

I think you may well find Yamaha actually designed the head of the motor to Toyota's spec as they have had the same influence on other Toyota's such as the Supra and Celica to name a couple but at the end of the day I believe Toyota will have had the most input into this engine with a partnership with Yamaha which is very important aswell to the success and performance of the engine.

Even if it had 300 lb-ft of torque, that isn't a lot. Audi's 4.2l v8 makes more torque. And that's with .6l less displacement, and 2 less cylinders. I'm just saying, the engine might sound good, but it isn't that sweet.
