Condit did win the decision. That said I can't think of a worst way to win this fight, I mean if at any point Diaz had stopped moving forward there would not have been any kind of fighting going on.

There are different types of strategy, one's using the rules to your advantage, another is using a specific techniques, positions, etc. to your advantage, and the moment one needs the first one, one admits to be weaker, and to tell your fighter not only to be extremely defensive but to avoid any fighting range except for "out of range" and try to win a championship fight by sneaking a run away counters is just pathetic, imho.
It was as a smart Fight. Condit knew that if he let Diaz control the fight by backing him up against the cage , then Diaz would finish him. So he changed the game to suit him. End of the day the smarter fighter won. Both Men are excellent fighters, Condit on the day was the better fighter.

How many points due to yellow cards would Condit loose under pride rules, or if the fight would simply last a minute or two longer.. Paul daley is a good boxer but that is only one aspect of striking, while bj penn was tech striker with elite bjj but rarely has finished anyone with striking since sean sherk and hughes doesn't count. Having fear is not a weakness, its knowing limitations, being fearless means over confidence.

the UFC is ENTIRELY better than strikeforce, strikeforce has all of the UFC fighters who either weren't good enough for the UFC or are trying to prepare for the UFC. Jake shields was strikeforces superstar and he came to the ufc and got his ass kicked by GSP. also Dan henderson went into strikeforce and beat all of strikeforces best fighters. there are so many cases of strikeforces fighters getting destroyed by UFC fighters.
