    Way too many remakes and adaptations. Is original screenwriting dead? Or are producers just chicken-shits afraid to attempt anything that hasn't had success elsewhere.

    The first years of the last Depression brought us FRANKENSTEIN and DRACULA (both adaptations - sigh). Thought the pipeline was clogged with escapist fare before, just watch.
