Oh man I loved doing that:( Once 2 horde rogues got up there and we had like 20 people trying to kill them but all they had to do was run to the back of the landing and they would be LoS. We eventually killed them thx to some paladin who took them both down.

sadly that glitch no longer works. i learned the wall glitch from someone but never used it there. now all you do is still gut stuck a bit but you no longer float up. at least not in ICC but i havent tried it here so i may be wrong. will be trying it tonight

Not really, the onliest other ways is:

With chopper, wich not many people have.

The other way of the ceiling, wich can only be reached by dwarves and gnomes.

And from the high mountain next to SW walls, wich after that requires good coordination where you should land.

This is the easiest way there is.
