Hi, read your reply; have to say I disagree "The Stuka was obsolete and crap by 1940". The Russians in 1941/42 found the Stuka (when used as flying artillery) a huge problem. It had to operate in an environment of air superiority; it was slow and not very manoeuvrable. The aircraft itself was not the total story; Germany had shocked the world . German troops pioneered tactical radio control at the company level; placed white panels on the terrain to steer the pilots, destroying strongpoints.
0:23 it is smiling :) This is my favorite plane of WWII. Yeah, some will say it is too slow. I just think this plane is the best. Thanks for making this vid.
So what, I happen to like this plane. I know it was slow and an easy prey. But I always place it as my favorite Warbird next to the FW 190 and the P38 lightning and my leasted liked plane is the Spitfire.
Of course, the stuka was the result of germany inventing modern wafare while poland, France and England tried to repeat the WWI strategy. Planes were powerful enough to carry heavy bombs and with radio they could be employed in direct support of the ground assault. Germany was the first to do so. It is now the doctrine of all modern armies (they called it flying artillery).
Germany invented nothing. A Major Heinz Guderian watched the exercises of Fuller & Hobart on Salisbury in 1930, and went back to Germany and made plywood cut outs and placed them on cars and repeated the exercises. Then PzKw 1 etc. Best General Germany produced. Sacked twice by that monorchid Adolph, which must prove that he was both stupid and queer.
Another loud fool of the cowardly murderous hypocritical British empire. What you try to claim actually took place in 1928, and was never developed to any level, as likely British money had to be spent on the British Israeli bastards. Now your empire is dead, and your nation will soon fall to invaders.
Wake up and smell the truth. So who made the number one selling car of all time. It wasn't the Australians It wasn't the USA and it wasn't Japan It was the GERMANS and it was Hitlers Idea. He wanted a car that the people could afford and be able to travel. It was the VW BUG!!! So the next time you see a VW bug you will think of Hitler. This is my curse to you. Hail Victory (translation) SEIG HEIL
@kramnosdivad stuka was crap obsolete by 1940. WW2 greatest dive bomber was Douglas Dauntlas and the helldiver. Only reason germany had dive bombers was because the US sold sme to Udett
The Stuka soon grew outdated, and repeated efforts to replace it with a newer and more capable plane all failed. By the start of the Battle of Britain it was already hopelessly outclassed, and suffered at the hands of the RAF.
The Halifax, the Wellington and the Lancaster were not weapons of mass-murder. They were weapons of 'Total War' - you remember Totalische Krieg don't you? That thing that the frenzied German crowds in the Berliner Sportpalast were demanding from Goebbels in February 1943. Well Great Britain heard your pleas and the bombers brought you 'Total War', so you mustn't complain just you didn't have a decent heavy bomber and because the Stuka was only good for bombing refugees on the road.
Total war was merely a question to the german people to give their everything for the war effort. Untill that point dayly life in Germany was not affected (like no shift work in factories)
You are so misled my young apprentice, Have you forgot that the Stuka had tank busting guns too. It was just the thing to shoot at those Sherman pea shooters the Allies had.

@MrRationalDebate Hello,
There is a great new book out titled: GETTYSBURG… OTHER TIMES
There is a great part describing a three Stuka (Kette) attack on a bridge.
It features the history in an accurate but most different way than before.
It is a great page-turning read and full of intrigue and revelation.
You can get your copy from my YouTube site (GETTYSBURGbook) or search Amazon or eBay.
