I know exactly where you are coming from but look back at the prohibition of alcohol, before they started reaping profits from the tax. It's exactly the same scaring tactics used back then. Unlike Alcohol weed has benefits that can be used to help a series of conditions. I myself often suffer from acute insomnia, I guess i do smoke weed habitually but i can say after about a month without sleep it helps.
